I was born and raised in central Germany and came to the U.S. when I was 15. I've been back almost every year since the move. I remember the freezing cold very well ... and I miss it! Well, sometimes, not always. I do appreciate that it's now June and I can walk around in shorts and a tee shirt, but then again, the rain and hurricane season has begun and saying that it's humid would be an understatement. Actually, maybe I don't miss the cold; I miss snow!
I've only been to see the Gateway Arch in Missouri, which I think is considered the Midwest. Eh, it'll warm up ... I think? Let's call the glass half full for that one!
