My name is Michael and I'm a drawaholic. I am hopelessy addicted to my craft. I eat, breath, and sleep drawing. And nothing else excites me more than studying the human figure, as I believe that it is one of the most complex and beautifully designed things in all of creation. I'd love to work with models for trade, but I also regularly host drawing workshops for my students, and peers in the art industry. So I'd love to connect with any models, male and female, (from the Bay Area especially) who might want to work with me. You can also check out my figure drawing blog at http://www.pencilmileage.blogspot.com
FYI:
I had an observation made in regards to my art in the forum that made me realize that perhaps it would be prudent to share my rationale with all who visiting my page might make the same observation...
"CS Art photography wrote: some cool and interesting work, though i did notice you can be subtle and vague about mens private parts, but are detailed about the womens....'
Hello CS.... well to qualify my approach, I personally love the way that the inguinal ligament and the lower abdominal muscles converge at the crotch area of the male figure. Drawing the male genitalia in any amount of detail in my humble opinion obscures that. Such is not the case with women. I also happen to think that the natural adult female pubic hair is very attractive, and it also provides contrast in the drawing.
Finally... I am of the opinion that to draw the penis and testicles in detail would be akin to drawing the vagina with the legs spread open. Since the focus of my drawings in on the human figure and anatomy in an artistic as opposed to an erotic sense, i prefer to leave those things to the imagination.
It also makes my drawings slightly less objectionable in this psuedo-puritan culture that we currently live within..."
