About me
Michael Scorpio's affair with the lens began in 2008 when he took images of muse, Madeleine Horn, with a simple point and shoot camera. Horn was so impressed with the composition of the simple images encouraging Michael to pursue it further. . He fell in love with the idea of capturing the erotic, sexual, macabre, and gruesome images that he was obsessed with.
Michael is completely self taught in his artisitic talent. He teamed up with Madeleine Horn for his very first photoshoot which was for Cameo Intimates Lingerie. This first ever capture of Michael's talent caught the eye of Alt Magazine editor, Waylan McCan and was soon published. Michael's work continues to gain recognition from industry professionals. He is considered one of the most promising young photographic artists of his generation. Madeleine Horn described him as "the most inspired photographer I've ever met."
Michael has a reputation for being very particular when it comes to the subject matter that he shoots. Creating controversy for turning down requests from some of the entertainment industry's most well known talent. He is truely a quality vs quantity artist. Only choosing subject matter and concepts that inspire his artistic vision. His work is uncompromised.
