I do portraits from photographs. I work in acrylics, since oils take too long to dry and I really hate to clean brushes.

Sometimes if the model is interesting enough and the pose is just right, there is no cost to the model. I actually pay the model with a canvas or giclee print of the finished painting. And then only if the painting is shown in a gallery or show. I look through hundreds of model's photographs searching for the "look" I want in my paintings. So do not be upset if I respond that you do not have the look I need and cannot work out a trade for a print. It takes 12 to 20 hours to paint a portrait. It is not just a 1 - 2 hour photo shoot. Either way, I do want to hear from you so do not be shy.
