The focus of my work, are the fabrics. These materials are the centre point of my inspiration. The modifying of the fabric is an important part of my creations, so I for example sew the threads, knot, tear or bleach the fabric. They have an influence on the visual effect and feeling, as also the strength and fall of the materials. The seam is either a part of the modification or it becomes a detail. At the moment I generally work with fine and transparent materials.
I grew up in the middle of Switzerland. Since 2000 I live in the east of Switzerland, close to St.Gallen.
My initial apprentionship in ladies tailoring took me 3 years. Afterwards I visited the seminar for teachers and after my graduation I taught classes in handicrafts, arts and English for nearly 10 years.
Subsequently I spent one year in London, where I amongst other things did work as an art smith. After additional two years teaching back in Switzerland, I decided to study fashion design. I graduated successfully at the Fashion Design School Zurich in summer 2008 with my collection -Fading Bloom-.
