Would you like to be immortalized on canvas?
I am an artist with an appreciation for the beauty of the female form and an enduring respect for women. I use my camera to capture an ephemeral moment in light and color. Often I reinterpret that image, using canvas and paint to add depth of character or tell a story; using form as realism, as a spiritual vessel, or as an icon.
The exciting part about art is the exploration of ideas. I have worked with many beautiful and talented models on MM, sometimes booking them for one of my "sketch groups" as well as for a photo shoot. Artistically I am always seeking something different and unexpected... a sublime effect, a new way of seeing things.
People perceive art through their own interpretations and filters, but an artist's triumph is to make the viewer feel something when viewing the work... that is what I strive for. I enjoy painting from life, and I do it every chance I get, but many of my painting subjects are also chosen from photographs I have taken.
If you are interested in sitting for a painting group in the Northwest Houston area (either nude or with wardrope) please send me a message. If you have a specific idea as to how you would like to be painted, you are welcome to include that information.
My group of painters includes some of the most highly regarded artists in the area. (I feel fortunate to get to create in their presence.) We meet on Thursday evenings from 6 pm to 9 pm in a wonderful art studio. The model sits for about 20 minutes at a stretch with 5 minute breaks in between. We pay the model $60.
I also occasionally book models for a couple of other art/sketch groups, which pay in the $50-$60 range.
Some amazing models from this site have joined us! It is a meaningful creative experience, and a different world from that of glamour photography. Life drawing is both a time-honored tradition, and a cutting edge experience, and the models who participate usually have art in their souls!
