BIO. It’s been quite the journey for this vivacious, fearless, at times irreverent, quirky super nova.

Born in Adelaide, Justine grew up listening to her Dad’s 80’s rock band play in her backyard, tackling the tambourine and backing vocals at a young age. Her childhood consisted of long Saturdays and Sundays in music studios, drinking Farmer’s Union Iced Coffee and choking on second hand cigarette smoke. She knew it wasn’t healthy but the recording process fascinated her, the music lit up her soul and Dad was a rock God. From a very young age Justine knew she wanted to be an entertainer, she wrote to John Farnham, Tina Arena and The Real McCoy saying ‘One day I’m going to do what you do!’

That day is now. With influences like George Duke, Earth Wind and Fire, Brand New Heavies, India Arie, Erykah Badu, La Bouche, Real McCoy, Solitaire, Jamiroquai, Skynro, Credence, Crosby Stills, Nash and Young, Indigo Girls, Christine Anu, Crowded House, Jakubi, 360 and Bliss n Eso, it’s no wonder her sound is so unique. She’s opened for the likes of Jasmine Solano (U.S.A), Electric Punanny (U.S.A) and Kasabian (U.K). With upcoming tours at Rainbow Serpent Festival, Seven Sisters Festival, St Kilda Festival and many gigs around Australia, Justine Jade is about to blow up!

Also known as Justine ‘JMAC’ McInerney, Justine’s stand up career has seen her appear in the Adelaide Fringe Festival and Melbourne International Comedy Festival for the past three years with her own three solo shows. Her comedy song ‘Disco Fanny’ got around town and she made friends with the ‘Global Hip Hop Collective’. From here the recording process began! Moulding herself creating her own genre of cosmic soul funk hip hop!

Get ready to dance and have your heart smile. This girl is bringing back the funk. Her first single TRIP THE LIGHT FANTASTIC is out on iTunes now with her music video dropping in January, followed by the 7 Track EP ‘Metanoia’, which will be released mid 2015.

FUN FACTS. She loves to sky dive and is a total hippie at heart, just ask to see her crystal collection. She’s a firm believer in the integration of holistic medicine and preventative healthcare and her stripper name is Shandee Balmoral. The nineties fascinate her and do not open her mail. She will give you a death stare. Then a hug.
