Actor by nature, award-winning model by trait, and decorated soldier by trade, Alonzo “Zo” Cook is next in line to become the multitalented artist he was destined to be–a Renaissance Man.
First making his mark in Hawaii, Zo performed in a gospel choir all over the state where he was a frontrunner soloist in the youth and men’s choir.
When Zo’s parents moved from Hawaii to Georgia, he established himself in a new church home and took on a new adventure as a member of his high school’s Drama Club.
Zo believes in the saying, “Work your way up to the top,” thus having been an extra in studio movie productions for Tyler Perry Studios and Paramount Pictures. He eventually worked his way up to stand-in work as well. While taking acting classes at the famous Alliance Theatre in Atlanta, GA; Zo sought more prominent roles to exercise his craft. Becoming sought- out actor at the Ivy League University, Stanford; Zo has performed as a featured actor in musical and stage plays with high regards; one production being the highly acclaimed Alcatraz: Art Behind Bars performed on Alcatraz Island. Zo also starred in an array of independent short films, all official sections in ten major film festivals combined across the nation! His presence in high-profile productions led him to hosting, interviews, parties, and a variety of events–even in middle-eastern countries. Zo’s progressing fame also led him to print and runway modeling. From extra, to stand-in, to principal roles, Zo is constantly solidifying his determination for industry success. Following in both his mother and father’s foot-steps to serve his country, Zo enlisted and has served in the US Army Reserves since 2004. He has two combat deployments (one to Iraq and the other Afghanistan), with high awards such as Combat Action Badge, Meritorious Service Medals, and is an active paratrooper.
With much buzz from many film festivals, his passion of producing paramount quality along with establishing longevity, love of his country, and paying his dues; the determined, humble, motivated, and most of all loving, Zo is on his way to the top hoping to leave a rich, soiled impression known throughout these generations to come.
