In the second grade I started selling drawings of Disney characters for quarters at recess and spending my winnings on chocolate milk. At that moment, I knew exactly what I wanted to do with my life.
I work in oil paint. All of my work is hand painted in oil on canvas or oil on wooden panels. I paint from life and from photographs. No photoshop is used. What you see is what you get.
I moved from the green hills of northern Oregon to the fake taa taa's and over priced bottled water land of Southern California in 2002 to study art at Laguna College of Art & Design. I knew nothing about Orange County except from what I saw in Jack Black's film, "Orange County" That movie lied. It was filmed in L.A.
After graduating in 2007 I started working full time as a professional landscape painter, working in the "plein air" style. This means to paint the light out in nature before it changes. I paint fast! Thank you coffee.
I have a growing list of models I use for my portrait paintings in the O.C./L.A. area, but am always looking for new and exciting people to work with. Usually I'll take good portrait photos and then paint from those.
Besides painting portraits, I am also a professional landscape painter, traveling across California & Oregon painting out in nature. I do this full time and love it. I'm setup up at sunrise nearly every morning painting, capturing a bit of nature with my brush.
You can go to my website,

Thanks for stopping by, I hope you enjoy my work. If you think you would be a great fine art model, send me a shout and we'll make a painting together. Or if you would like to say hi please do so. Thanks for your time. I'll shut up now.
