A.D. Cook

I've worked as a professional artist and designer since 1980. Over the last several years I have ventured into the fine art figurative world as a new and exciting direction for my art. Prior to that, I'm probably best known for my series of photo realistic motorcycle-inspired paintings ( http://adcookfineart.com/mcart.html ), and for the dozens of large murals of movie stars and celebrities that I created for the Hollywood Video stores ( http://adcookfineart.com/hollywood.html ) during my five years as their muralist and creative director.

My creative focus is on producing realistic and exciting paintings on canvas and metal, tastefully featuring the female figure. These paintings are typically created life-size and larger on surfaces up to about 4 ft. x 6 ft. - view http://adcookfineart.com/nudes.html for more.

I'm always looking for creative and innovative models to inspire new art and I value their contribution in the development of dynamic images. I utilize my photographic skills to develop original reference images to create paintings. All images shown in the Art Section of my MM profile are paintings - not computer enhanced photos, but actual hand-painted art on canvas or metal.

I just recently added a photography portfolio. All my figurative paintings start with a photo shoot so I figured I'd post a few here.
