T Simone Designs

Many individuals who are artistic have the ability to function in different creative environments. That definitely can be said about the clothing designer, Tenisha of T Simone Designs. She has a passion for communicating in art that began prior to making clothes. From a young age, she was interested in freedom of expressions. Tenisha has been drawing since the age of 4. Sketching illustrations, writing short stories and poems were activities she mastered growing up; not knowing the foundation would lead to the evolution of designing clothes. She participated in events and won various art contests throughout middle, high school and college. Studying Communication Arts in undergrad with minors in Journalism and Graphic Design, she learned the fundamentals to successfully operating in the public eye. Her courses and extra curricular activities strengthened her skills for entrepreneurship as well.

Tenisha was the graphics editor and wrote articles for her university’s student newspaper while in college. She also published monthly comic strips to promote awareness on various topics that college students could relate with. Designing logos for t shirts, individuals and businesses were a few additional creative projects Tenisha involved herself with. Her passion for fashion came to life in 2005, when she realized that her sketches could become reality. She took classes and practiced creating concepts during the beginning stages. From participating in fashion shows to creating tote bags with positive quotes, Tenisha made sure that her artsy communication was recognized.

Now, a clothing designer who made a name for herself while living in Charlotte, NC for 4 plus years, Tenisha recently relocated to her hometown in MD. Her character fits her artsy apparel such as her ability to unify bold prints and consciousness of offering a variety of designs for all sizes. Adding to her list of artistic environments, Tenisha has experience working as a wardrobe stylist by providing her designs to models, make up artists and photographers for photo shoots, feature films, music videos along with participating in multiple fashion shows. She continues to design logos, t-shirts and tote bags, but designing clothes is her main focus. Tenisha is determined more than ever in her new location and plans to expand her clientele list. She hopes to have her brand become a label known widespread. So far, she has transitioned into virtual sales by creating and managing her own website, photographing her own inventory and working with NY Fashion Connect.

Currently, she attracts clients for a variety of reasons. Some clients admire her use of colors and patterns; local clients admire the option of having designs uniquely being fit to their shapes; while others admire that her designs are artistically influenced. Her apparel is custom and extremely affordable. The next step is to obtain manufacturers for mass production so that the creativity can shared in cities all over. She is a firm believer that there is nothing that can’t be done if you put your heart and mind to it.

T Simone Designs is looking to work with models, make up artists and photographers for upcoming photo shoots.
