Hi this is Tim McNiven, one of the founders of Lucid Chaos Photography. Thanks for stopping by to have a look at my work. Realizing that we have very similar tastes, Melody of Miss Chaos Photography and I decided to merge our studio's into one. Having twice the creative input and the gear to work with has been nothing but a solid move for us.
I have worked in the field for almost as long as I remember, but until recently have not been interested in shooting people. Having spent a majority of my time composing shots that involve many depths for landscapes, or showcasing a certain elements in a picture for commercial work, I like to think I will bring a slightly different perspective then most to a shoot.
As an experienced staff photographer from various publications, I am comfortable shooting editorial, commercial, and industrial photography, as well as doing the occasional wedding to provide a little play money. I have shot some award winning landscape shots as well and love to incorporate both natural and staged elements into a shoot. I am confident that given an idea, I can work with you to help you create it.
My rates follow industry standards, but if you have a creative idea you want to work with, I will consider TF* work. Ideally we could do some work that each one of us have in mind, and collaborate further once we are both flowing.
Models who want to bring an escort, are encouraged to do so, but I might end up putting them to work helping with lighting effects. I can use all the hands I can get most of the time. (Note I have absolutely no problem with anybody bringing an escort, but please make sure it is someone you would trust alone in your own house, as I have lost a few things to theft.)
When a model and a photographer have a comfortable working relationship, it shows through in the pictures taken. That is destroyed when someone is pushed beyond the limits of their comfort zone. I am completely comfortable shooting nude and form photography. I will look you in the eyes when talking to you regardless of whether or not you have on a stitch of clothing. If you are comfortable and open with your body, it will show. If you are more modest, that will show as well, and I will not ask you compromise your integrity in any way.
