I'm watching Thunderball right now and I was curious to which actor is everyones favorite as that martini drinking secret agent with the license to kill. I grow up on the Roger Moore ones and "For Your Eyes Only" will always be my favorite Bond movie.

In my view, Sean Connery will always be James Bond.

Despite being highly acclaimed, I would still suggest that he is underrated as an actor.

Sean Connery is Bond, all the rest were allow to play his character.  Brosnan was very good in the role, in my opinion.  I would've rather have seen Clive Owen cast as the latest bond as opposed to the new guy, but I'll wait to see how he does before I pass judegement.

Sean Connery, Roger Moore and Pierce Brosnan were the best Bonds...
The rest I didn't even care an ounce for...
And Daniel Craig does not have the ambience of 007...

I totally agree on Clive Owen. He could have brought a young more energetic feel to Bond. I really like Brosnan but he always played him a little too stiff in my opinion. I love Sean Connery but the ones I saw first were the Roger Moore ones so they stand out more for me.

Any Timothy Dalton fans lol?

Its been quite a few years since I've really watched any old bond movies, but I always liked You Only Live Twice, Live and Let Die, and Moonraker(however cheesy the outer space scenes were).  The new ones are really good too, but I thought Die Another Day was lame.

You know, I actually liked the movies he played in... the premise etc.  Just wasn't thrilled by his portrayal.  And probably a little sore over the fact that Remington Steele tried to shaft Brosnan and keep him from the role of Bond, too.  I would've liked to see Brosnan in the Living Daylights.

Sean Connery... Pierce Brosnan remember him from his Remington Steele days... I don't think Daniel Craig was a good choice... I'd have chosen Robbie Williams the singer who sung Millenium cause he looks like a good James Bond...

The only redeeming quality of the movie he was in is seeing the 10 minutes or so that gives meaning to the title of The World Is Not Enough.  The rest is torture...

Sean Connery was and is ALWAYS Bond!!! and "GOLDFINGER" is my personal favorite with "THUNDERBALL" a close second

The movies worth it just for Shirley Eaton (the most incredible creature that ever came from the UK) and the car or all cars, the SPY MASTERS dream the Aston Martin DB5 Coupe

https://www.james-bond007.de/assets/images/03a00220.jpg

Auric Goldfinger`s ill fated secretary Jill Masterson (played by Shirley Eaton) who moments after this "bedroom" scene would be immortalized as the
"Dead Girl Of Gold" in Guy Hamilton`s masterpiece "Goldfinger" from 1964

"Do you expect me to talk?"
..........."No Mr. Bond I expect you to die"

Well, enough of all this "spy" stuff.....I`m back to SEBRING! smile

Ohh and PS: NO WOMAN SINCE Shirley Eaton has made a man`s Pajama top look that good.........

Sean Connery will ALWAYS be James Bond and my personal favorite.
I first saw Sean Connery in "Darby O'Gill And The Little People". He gets more distinguished and remains handsome regardless his age.

It has to be Connery.  The Roger Moore movies were plotless nonsense.

Here`s Bond`s Aston with an overactive bladder and the bulletproof shield up protecting that cute little French HOTTIE in the passenger seat in "THUNDERBALL"

........I always wondered where they kept the hundreds of gallons of water in the back of that car to make this happen?......ok ok I know it`s JUST A MOVIE big_smile

PS: I always liked the WEAPON they left out of the movies and that was the "3 prong" Highway Jacks, that flew out of a compartment under the trunk AND  tore the following cars tyres to ribbons......but moral and legal problems prevented them from being used in the (2) original Aston Martin DB5 movies

That movie "On Her Majesty's Secret Service" was MAYBE the MOST REALISTIC Bond movie ever made.....with GREAT use of gadgets (no car, but most of the small items he`d used were featured as well as the ONLY time Bond used a MINOX SPY CAMERA!)
This movie had MAYBE the BEST Bond Girl of all time in it
Dame Diana Rigg... (ex Imma Peel/The Avengers)  the ending is the saddest of all Bond Movies....
