You could ask them what they did because it looks as though most of it was done in PS: http://www.flickr.com/photos/maradinn/2615050191/ Dimitris Giannetos did the makeup on that shoot..you can see another one from that same shoot on his site..it does not have the edited glowy golden look to it like the image you posted which is why Im pretty sure it was done in PS: http://viewmorepics.myspace.com/index.c … ID=8009715 HTH Jan 21 09 04:50 pm Link SublimeImage Studios wrote: thanks a lot! Jan 21 09 06:57 pm Link I think you'd have a tough time getting that look with those lights..unless you're REALLY clever with diffusion/flags/light modifying. And have a great eye. But work with what you have..and maybe you can find a look that's better or new or more interesting. I'd go there instead. Experiment. B Jan 21 09 07:01 pm Link i would love to know how he gets those colors too, i love that style Jan 21 09 08:16 pm Link Actually "he" is a "she" and you can find her in ModelMayhem too: https://www.modelmayhem.com/MaRaDinn Cheers Jan 21 09 08:23 pm Link +4, 5, 6 that CS4 with the improved for the dodge/ burn tool would help immensely. You'll get better colors that way. You'll also get better colors with more white light being used. You might experiment with a warming filter as well. Jan 22 09 08:40 am Link OP don't run before you can walk Jan 22 09 08:53 am Link heeeey there MaRaDinn here ^_^ I just saw this thread about my photo...a friend told me about it... So i m very happy i finally found it cause i will try to explain to you some things and maybe they will help you First thing is i don't have professional lights yet , as some said, no money to buy... For this photo i used a simple headlight... u know the yellow ones that constructors use... Also i had the pleasure to work with one of the best makeup artists in Greece and yes he used a lot of bronze makeup... the lens i used is a 50mm 1.8/f on a canon eos 400D. Now about photoshop... the truth is i never remember what i exactly do on my photos...hehe cause i experiment every time... As many mentioned , i did some burning and dodging i used the selective color and many colored layers above my image with different blending options to get this color hope i helped u just a bit ^_^ And in my opinion the best way to reach a result u like, yourself , is to have ur own photo opened in photoshop and try things out , whatever , u don't have to know what the other photographer did... Experiment till u get it right and it's a way to discover photoshop too... at least this is what i do... xxx Maria Jan 23 09 12:53 am Link MaRaDinn wrote: Thanks A LOT! your awesome ^_^ Jan 23 09 10:34 am Link Sungoddess Studios wrote: I'm actually copying this into my wordnotes.
