I was looking for a studio myself.
And noticed a few more threads.
The studio threads on MM are a mess.
Let's try to make a complete listing of studio's available.
This IS a thread where you can list your own studio for rent.
Maybe it will be moved later but this should be done.

List what studios you know of.
List what studios you like.
How much, links to them.
MM should have a better resource for information then we do have.

This is NOT a thread to post if you are looking for a studio.
Just if you know of one, with info or link included.
Or if you have one to offer.

it can be figured out later the best place for it.

Studios by Location in this thread.

On June 11th 2006 I will be launching the website art-noir.net that will be filled with wonderful photos of the loft and its "sets." When renting the loft you will have access to 2 1600 alien bees, 2 800w alien bees, 2 britek lights (really only good for hair lights, and 2 large and 1 small speedtron lights. This way you can set up two different setups and move back and forth.

There are two brollyboxes, and 7-8 assorted umbrellas, 2 grids, and a reflector for every light. The alien bees also have the travelite set-up so you can take them into the hallways, the alley behind the studio, really anywhere you can think of.

I can arrange for any color 9ft long paper seamless to be ready for you at an additional charge of $35 per color seamless, $25 for dark grey, light grey, black or white.

The studio is currently available on Tuesdays till 3pm, and Wednesday, Friday sat and Sunday all day. I will be in the studio, in my own little curtained off area leaving you alone, at all times the studio is rented unless a $2,000 deposit is paid. This is to prevent theft or damage to the studio. You won't even know I am there.

In addition there is a $25 cleaning fee if everything isn't put back where it started and the trash is not disposed of. You get 1/2 hour of non-billed time at the end of the shooting day for clean-up time.

There is one studio cat, he lives here he can't go away. Any other questions send them to me right away,

I see the add-ons, but the base price is not listed. What's the hourly, 1/2 day and day rates?

Also my local favorite is http://www.dm-gremlin.com/photo/studio.html Not the best part of town, but the price is right $12/hr or $50 for 5 hrs. Daan is on MM and can be found by searching DM Gremlin.

I just visited Melrose Lightspace for the first time this afternoon.  The weekend rate is actually $300 for 8 hours.

Constellation Salon in North Hollywood.  Don't know the exact link, but you can Google them.  $250 for 8 a.m. - 6 p.m. on Sundays.  Their website has the full rate card.

This one looks cool and expensive:
http://www.solarstudios.com/

Did my last shoot here:
http://www.melroselightspace.net/

A daylight studio, no backgrounds or grip. The artist who rents it out is actually a painter and her clients usually are film crews, but she will rent it to individuals without an entourage larger than two ot three for a surprisingly modest fee:
http://www.studio528.com/filming/index.html

In culver city, $750.00 for a 10 hour day for still photography:

I've shot cars at Badlands in Sun Valley. They have a 40' Fisher Light that you can rent from Fisher with a tech.

Mission Road Photography Studio on the Southside of San Antonio Texas. 210.531.0899. Tim Summa photographer MM# 178357. $50 a half day/$100 full day. Hot lights and Norman & Speed-O-Tron. Backdrops with a 12 foot tall black canvas that is up 14 feet in air. Lots of gear. A lot of wardrobe/accessories. Easy to get to from all Highways. Across street is large municipal park (Roosevelt Park). Two gardens on sides that are completely discreet, I have done full figure and workshops there. Models locally know and feel safe in this environment. Certain select models will negotiate rates based on the fact that they receive the studio for you at no additional cost. I have models who visit for periods of time and are available to work. These are from around the country. It is a cinderblock structure with concrete floors, main entrance is to side and is wheel chaired ramped. Plenty of parking on the side street. Extremely safe environment with Federal Park and local Police Sub-station one block away.

I just opened the doors and have a few kinks to work out — so no pictures yet.

1000 sq. ft. with a lounge, 1/2 bath and a smokin' bar for after the shoot.

The studio rents for $250 a day.

Call 480.329.8178 to tour and schedule.

South Bay Studios rocks - they even have a massive rental dept on-site for extra lights, and ea studio has a pile of grip equip on the stage (c-stands, flags, apple boxes, etc.)  http://southbaystudios.com/

Solar Studios I believe have a shower. Peter's the guy that runs the place - good man.

AS always, you can look at Craigslist under artist for studio rental or go check out the bulletin board at Samys, PIX and Calumet - there's always many promo cards of studios there.
