working plus size models that aren't crystal renn
now here's one very brave girl ashleigh from bella model management (australia). this size 16 teenager was in a magazine, unretouched, in her underwear, with a bunch of straightsize models. she had to deal with A LOT of nastiness: girls at school bullying her, but she has also inspired a lot of girls over there, and she definitely inspired me. beautiful inside and out a picture from the magazine: other pictures Jul 31 11 01:28 pm Link a bit of an oldie, but I really liked this campaign (hated the clothes when I actually saw them in the store though, but the campaign looks so glamourous) Tara Lynn in the H&M campaign not from the swimsuit campaign, but I love this look and am so trying something similar tomorrow... her face is so stunning Jul 31 11 01:45 pm Link Marianne Michaela wrote: She is STUNNING!! WOW. Good for her and well wishes from me! Jul 31 11 09:47 pm Link GabriellAnna wrote: yeah and she has like NO experience . she got signed based on some snapshots (which is rare in the plus model world). she did an amazing job . would love to test with that photographer, but just can't afford him (he charges 450 euros...) . Aug 01 11 01:29 am Link interview with fluvia lacerda on vogue.it http://www.vogue.it/en/vogue-curvy/glam … ia-lacerda she's adorable, I love her accent. and she talks about how she got started 8 years ago, pretty special still hoping I'll get on that website one day, work work work! I'm such a 'fatty' uhuhm... If I would be a 34/36 with my lenght I would become see-through I guess.. Maybe I need to go for plus size *grabs bag of crisps* Aug 01 11 04:47 am Link merel 89 wrote: if you become plus size, please do a shoot with me :p. i'd love to stand next to someone and not look like an effing giant... Aug 01 11 04:56 am Link You are so sweeeet *hug hug* But I would love to be able to do some more fashion without having to worry about ruining the clothing with my ass. So far I've been able to get all the designer stuff on, but I worry that that will change pretty soon.... But hey, I can always take my clothes off Aug 01 11 05:40 am Link merel 89 wrote: yeah for sample sizes I bet it's really tricky to be 36/38 sometimes... when i was in design school, I used to make really figurehugging stuff in non-stretch fabrics, and they would all be in 34. If a girl came in a casting that was a 36, I already started getting nervous . Aug 01 11 06:25 am Link editorial! Always have to give my love out to the atypical models. But i have to say, i feel like a lot of these girls are far and few between. They have huge curves but none in the wrong places. With a plus size division of course. Preferably in the West Coast/California area. I don't know weather I want to dive right into submitting to bigger agencies but at the same time I'm wondering if I should just go for it. Thoughts?
