Hi,

You have a good variety in your portfolio which makes you stand out from other photographers working in the same field.

https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/110610/11/4df25ec5091df_m.jpg

Really nice expression and pose. Beautiful llama and pose. Good lighting.

https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/110620/13/4dffae0a8d3be_m.jpg

Great bikini shot. nice lighting and perspective.

https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/110821/17/4e51a43d12d80_m.jpg

The llama looks really uncomfortable with her head bent like that.

https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/100703/08/4c2f51173e53c_m.jpg

There is no lighting on your llama which lets this image down I would delete this one and the other one from this shoot to keep your portfolio quality high.

https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/120314/12/4f60f17d6ee39_m.jpg

Love the colours in this shot.

https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/100514/18/4bedf4b35d631_m.jpg

This one looks like snapshot image.

You have some good work and I like your variety in your work. I would just suggest making sure you keep your variety going and shooting some more headshots.

Thanks for taking part.

Hi,

From seeing your avatar I am excited to look through your portfolio, here goes,

https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/120415/15/4f8b52bfb5903_m.jpg

You obviously have your own style which is great, it gives you something to market yourself with. This image is lovely, great viewpoint and the 'sparklyness' shows your style well. The lighting is well done also.

https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/120415/16/4f8b53a0ef45f_m.jpg

I'm bothered by her cut off feet in this shot.

https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/120415/16/4f8b539d0ab3f_m.jpg

Not so keen on this one the foliage on the left hand side is distracting and the model isn't really doing much in my opinion.

https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/120415/15/4f8b52ba7940a_m.jpg

I think the light splodge in front of her is a little over powering in this shot.

https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/120314/16/4f612364c58a5_m.jpg

This one is so beautifully done. her expression is great and the styling is effective too. The lighting is spot on also.

https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/120313/18/4f5ff128f20c3_m.jpg

Good styling but this is very underexposed brighten it up and let the colours show through to make this one stand out more big_smile

https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/120313/18/4f5ff124106e9_m.jpg

Love how colourful and fun your images are.

https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/120213/18/4f39c83322fc4_m.jpg

Very slick clean image more high fashion style of shot. Once you get more shoots under your belt I would narrow down your portfolio to include only one image from this shoot.

Hope this helps

Thanks for taking part.

Thank you smile I've done a lot more shoots and the photos are here just hidden for now so I can get thoughts on my new work as people always choose to comment on older work smile

Beautiful lighting, detail and retouching. her expression is great and the composition is wonderful. very good image.

https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/120227/18/4f4c4090a8d37_m.jpg

You have photographed her well nice lighting.

https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/120227/18/4f4c408e6a65b_m.jpg

The lighting in this is not as good as some of the other pics in your portfolio.

https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/120123/18/4f1e1ac4f2be0_m.jpg

Uneven lighting and her face has a yellow colour cast, I would consider altering this in photoshop.

https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/110908/13/4e6923b864891_m.jpg

Great colour tones and the models pose and expression are very simply beautiful.

https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/110522/04/4dd8f6a5d0b2d_m.jpg

Beautiful image very simple and she has a nice glow to her skin.

https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/110208/02/4d5118ec4051d_m.jpg

Love how create her makeup is. Beautiful lighting. Her finger poking up on the left hand side of the image is a little distracting maybe photoshop it out?

https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/100523/16/4bf9b8de3446e_m.jpg

Great edgy shot. complimentary colours and styling.

Overall your work is pretty good. You have some strong images but also some mediocre images which may be worth dropping in the future. Your styling and lighting is all there and you have good models I think if you were to experiment with angles and perspective when shooting you would create more interesting images. All of your pics seem to be shot from the same angle, stood in front of the model, maybe trying crouching, get a different angle, walk around the model as they stand still and photograph them from different viewpoints.

Good luck

Thanks for taking part.

Hope my advice is helpful

Thanks for taking part.

Thank you very much. I appreciate you taking the time and being so thorough.

Right, your portfolio is crammed!
You have alot of professional looking imagery.

https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/120415/10/4f8b05986351e_m.jpg

Beautiful shot your skin looks great and this has been retouched well.

https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/120415/10/4f8b095a7ee53_m.jpg
This one is quite similar to another in your portfolio but not as strong I would consider dropping this one.

https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/110731/15/4e35d3f0545c7_m.jpg

I don't think this one looks very professional to be honest. I don't like the really bright highlight on the side of your face and think the styling is scruffy.

https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/110720/03/4e26a79ec2497_m.jpg

This is so cool love how creative it is! You look great in it also.

https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/110610/15/4df29e40ec127_m.jpg

This one looks amateurish I would consider dropping it. The lighting is poor and attention to detail is lacking.

https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/081125/07/492bea029da95_m.jpg

Love your pose but the strange marks in the background need to be edited out to make this picture its best.

https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/111002/12/4e88bc5c6f31d_m.jpg

You have this one in black and white and in colour I would choose just the one and delete the other.

The third row down has four similarly shot photographs maybe chuck in a couple full body shots to break the similarity in that row.

I would remove the fourth row apart from the pink creative shot.

https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/111210/08/4ee38335cc6f9_m.jpg
The composition on this shot could be worked on.

https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/100601/15/4c058a4d68802_m.jpg

This one is really cool love how different it is.

I think you would benefit from having a clearout of your portfolio, try and keep your strongest images in. Remember quality over quantity.

Good luck

Thanks for taking part.

Thanks so much - really good advice big_smile

Hello!

I love your montage images! I hoped this was your unique style as you do them so well.

https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/120409/17/4f837ea1c9065_m.jpg

This montage is really strong I would possibly make this one into two sets of images with the different backgrounds. Personally I prefer the top set of images and think they would be stronger apart from the other set.

https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/120408/18/4f823d309bd16_m.jpg

Your lighting is great love the setting also.

https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/120402/20/4f7a6c652c52f_m.jpg

The eye is too obviously photoshopped for my liking, it lets down an otherwise beautiful image.

https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/120310/21/4f5c35b93b5cd_m.jpg

There is not enough light on your llama in this image and her eye is overly photoshopped it looks unnatural.

https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/120408/18/4f8240f06a102_m.jpg

The lighting in the background is good but you need to light your llama more effectively aswell. Especially the face.

Your work looks professional I think you should experiment with lighting your llamas more. Maybe do some more montages they look awesome in your portfolio.

Hope this helps

Thanks for taking part.

Hello,

https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/120404/17/4f7ce43d976aa_m.jpg

This one would be fantastic if the photographer hadn't focussed on the background! You look amazing in it.

https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/120404/17/4f7ce4dab9105_m.jpg

Great shot you look great. Really good catwalk image.

https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/120404/17/4f7ce4f4441b9_m.jpg

This is a nice shot but I would remove the strange purple/pink vignette around the image and straightening up the image so the horizon isn't wonky would make this one look more professional. You have a good figure.

https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/120416/06/4f8c1dcdb65f5_m.jpg

Love this, such a professional shot great colour tones and styling. You look great.

https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/120416/06/4f8c1df50fa27_m.jpg

This lighting in this image is a bit flat, it is definately worth editing. Your expression is beautiful.

https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/120416/06/4f8c1e0cbe988_m.jpg

Great pose and expression, love the angle at which this was shot.

https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/120404/17/4f7ce40d1edfc_m.jpg

Again, the photographer hasn't focus on your face. The fabric in front of you is in focus instead. Also there is no light on your face at all. A shame as your pose is strong.

https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/120404/17/4f7ce4628726b_m.jpg

I think your expression is strong in this image. Your body is overexposed slightly but the exposure on your face is fine.

I think you have a strong look and you could do very well. You just have to work with more educated photographers who will light you and focus on you properly to show you off to your best.

Thanks for taking part.

Hello,

https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/120314/18/4f6145df3f717_m.jpg

This is the only image where the lighting has be thought out.

https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/120315/14/4f6261e27b63b_m.jpg

The shadows and lighting aren't brilliant. Your styling is good and you are pretty. Your skin looks great also. You need to work with some professional photographers who understand lighting as it is such an important element in photography and will help you stand out as a professional. So far your images look very amateur which is understandable as you are just starting out.

https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/120402/14/4f7a1d80d81f8_m.jpg

Again poor lighting, your expression is gorgeous and like your pose. Your photographer or a retoucher could have used photoshop to smooth your skin to make this image stronger.

https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/120402/14/4f7a1d6857144_m.jpg

This pose isn't so flattering, the shape of your top makes you look a little short in this position.

https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/120315/14/4f62610ee25c2_m.jpg

To give you an idea of post processing and what it can do to make an image look more professional, this is what I would do to this image: Clone out the marks on the floor, soften the creases in the curtain, smooth your skin out and get rid of any imperfections, and darken the highlight behind your head as it is distracting. When shooting this one I would have focused on you rather than the green pole thing behind you, and I would have taken this so the image as a whole was brighter, this boosting the colour in your top and bringing out the highlights in your hair.

Working with someone who understands photography and lighting would benefit you highly. You have a good look and definately think you should go for it!

Keep in touch I would like to see your portfolio grow.

Thanks for taking part.

The contrast in this isn't great the background is too bright for your subject.

https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/120331/00/4f76b82aacd34_m.jpg

Try and keep one shot from each shoot in your port rather than a few it shows you have variety in your work. Having a montage works but only when the images used are of the same standard which these are.

https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/120412/12/4f8727022a109_m.jpg

Your model is underexposed.

https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/120412/11/4f8721d232e9e_m.jpg

Love these great poses and the model has good energy. The middle shot is my favourite. It's beautiful.

https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/120407/22/4f81258c48cd0_m.jpg

Stunning shot love the angle, colours, lighting and model. Great shot.

I think you should focus on balancing lighting between your background and the model to get the best shots you can I would also suggest working with more models to up your variety in your portfolio. You have plenty of potential and think you will do well. =]

This one is great I was hoping you would have a before and after shot.
You have made all the detail in the feathers stand out and have covered all the basics such as skin smoothing, hair tidying, eye sharpening, general edge tidying, and adjusting the light slightly for her skin tone.
The only thing I would suggest for this image is tidying up her hair slightly where it curls at the front and at the side there are a couple strands that are out of place and distracting. Maybe just soften those areas a little so they flow better with her hair.

https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/120411/15/4f860880a84ad_m.jpg

This one is great but if it were me I would have just chose the one to keep variety of shot in your portfolio. It was also fit aesthetically better in your portfolio without leaving negative space under the smaller thumbnail beside it.

https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/111218/12/4eee5043ae894_m.jpg

This one is lovely you are drawn to her eyes which are nicely retouched and not over the top. Although her forehead and eyebrows are so smooth its almost starting to look unnatural. Her hairline across the top of her forehead is very straight which may add to it looking the tiniest bit unnatural. =]

https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/120106/11/4f074f7165340_m.jpg

Nicely edited, I bet it took ages getting all that hair to look so nice and full!
This shot and the one next to it are long and shorter in proportion to the others in your portfolio which may not be an issue for you but aesthetically could look better in a row of similar sized images.

https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/111021/09/4ea1a01b1f9d9_m.jpg

Gorgeous image. Love it!

Your portfolio is so professional looking your standard of work is top quality. I am really impressed and although I am not primarily a retoucher I hope my comments make sense to you and you can get something from them.

Hello!

https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/120312/20/4f5ebcbcbd4b5_m.jpg

Nice lighting. I would smooth out the wrinkles in the backdrop though they are a little distracting. This shot would look good with a black background also.

https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/120316/22/4f642620e709e_m.jpg

This set of images shows up quite small in your portfolio and therefore do not stand out as much as if they were posted singularly.

https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/120312/20/4f5eb9a0c4fa5_m.jpg

Beautiful shot with gorgeous lighting and model, I would smooth out the wrinkles in the backdrop as they are distracting. I would also only include this image from this shoot in your portfolio rather than two from the same shoot. it keeps variety throughout your portfolio and this one is stronger as backed up by your views and comment count.

Strong composition and styling for this image. Her skin looks perfect also.

You have some nice shots, you seem to understand lighting and all your models look great. Kepp on going with new models and locations to get your variety throughout your portfolio.

Thanks for taking part.

Thank you for the feedback, I appreciate it! smile

P.S. I edited out of your quote the text and images so it wouldn't "clog up" the thread.

Hello!

I'm not usually a fan of this type of image but this one impresses me, based on composition and your form. Good posing.

above, beautiful lighting and pose.

above, not sure on this one you look a little headless in the thumbnail.

beautiful pose in the above image.

This one is a very offensive expression and doesn't fit in your portfolio.

https://www.modelmayhem.com/portfolio/pic/26986555
You look great in this one but I'm not sure about the halo of light which surrounds you as it is unnatural.

Beautiful pose

I'm not so keen on this one its borderline snapshot in my opinion. The lighting doesn't seem very well thought out.

Fantastic pose and expression love the freckles really nice shot.

You have some great photos only a couple I would consider removing, the one that doesnt fit and the borderline snapshot one. =]

Thank you very much!  I appreciate the compliments, and I will consider removing those two. smile

Hello

Love the colour tones and the effects you have used in this photograph great dark style.

https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/120411/17/4f861f333cb56_m.jpg

Not sure on the lighting on this one, its unconventional a bit of light to fill in the left side of her face may have balanced the lighting a bit better. You can see where you have edited out her shoulder strap as there is a lighter line up her shoulder. unless it is a tan line.

https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/120411/17/4f861bd12a5ee_m.jpg

Cute shot nice colours and love the styling.

I would suggest experimenting with a couple of lights when lighting your models. Try also lighting the background seperately to your model to reduce the shadows.

Thanks for taking part.

Hello,

https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/120418/09/4f8ee74a36bfd_m.jpg

This is nicely lit but what is that light coloured thing? is she holding some cheese or a sponge, is it a wall she's stood behind? Only having one and a half eyes in the shot makes the viewer a little uneasy because they want to look at both eyes but have to switch across to the one fully showing.

https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/120418/09/4f8ee71d18f34_m.jpg

Her eyes look bright but maybe a little too oversharpened and the colours are lovely. I get that she is leaning on the wall but because of the perspective some might say she looks like she has a really small arm.

https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/120418/09/4f8ee6f9418fb_m.jpg

Love her pose and styling beautiful model.

https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/120221/11/4f43ec9bb484d_m.jpg

Cute shot the wall in the background helps the viewer realise that its a wall in the foreground. Love the colour of her hair and eyes.

https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/120221/11/4f43ec56707ea_m.jpg

This one is not quite sharp there is a slight blur in her eyes.

https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/120221/11/4f43ec1b9701a_m.jpg

Nice idea. Would have been better if you hadn't cut her toes off.

https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/120221/11/4f43ebb1ba253_m.jpg

Her skin hasn't been photoshopped very well, looks like the impurities are just blurred. you could use spot healing tool to get a nicer effect.

https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/110830/13/4e5d47d26594a_m.jpg

This is a nice natural shot, the focus is good on her face the only thing I would change is the crop. I would have zoomed out a little so there is more space around her eyes or cropped so there is less room above her feet and more below her face.

https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/110830/13/4e5d45f95080d_m.jpg

Really strong image love the simple editing and the lighting. The models expression is captivating.

My advice to you is to pay attention to detail when you shoot your images to include all the important elements and avoid including any confusing elements that are not important to your final image. Practice editing your images and when you've shot an image zoom in to the pic to ensure your focus is spot on.
I think you only need to fine tune the way you work to get some really excellent results.

Thanks for taking part.

Hello!

https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/120414/19/4f8a3825141fa_m.jpg

This one has some beautiful colours in it and her skin looks great however there is a tiny amount of camera shake/blur in this image looking at her hand and eye on the right, its also noticeable on her necklace. Do you have another from this shoot?

https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/120327/19/4f727d441e8a2_m.jpg

Gorgeous shot great lighting and styling. Composition is spot on and her skin looks great. Make up is good but personally the lip liner or editing on her lower lip to make it thicker bothers me because of the difference in texture and colour it looks a little unnatural to me. It's still an awesome shot though.

https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/111217/14/4eed19729c415_m.jpg

Beautiful lighting and background =]

https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/120406/19/4f7fa7fd61657_m.jpg

Powerful shot great perspective.

https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/120324/12/4f6e1deded4f7_m.jpg

I'm not so keen on this one her eyes look oversharpened and there is a highlight that looks almost smudged from her shirt to her back.

https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/111209/14/4ee28a3ab1617_m.jpg

The highlights in this shot are blown out. The other pic of this model is really nicely lit. I would consider dropping the above to keep variety in your portfolio.

Another gorgeous shot great lighting styling and model.

You have a lot of professional high quality work in your portfolio. I would suggest keeping the best image from each shot in your portfolio to keep the variety rather than having two or three. Quality is more important than quantity.

Thanks for taking part I hope my advice is useful to you.

Hello!

https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/090729/14/4a70c43d09fc3_m.jpg

To be honest I don't think this expression is doing anything for you in this photograph. I get what you were going for but don't think your eyes are intense enough to pull this one off.

https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/100331/20/4bb412b533295_m.jpg

Again this expression isn't the best you look confused and angry whilst a little bit drunk in my opinion (sorry I don't mean to be rude, just honest) =[

https://www.modelmayhem.com/portfolio/pic/14465003
This is a lovely, cheerful, natural shot love your expression in this one.

https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/090813/01/4a83d02b2d919_m.jpg

This photograph is nicely lit but your face is really out of focus.

https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/100311/22/4b99d8ab6361f_m.jpg

The original of this image (not rotated, upside down or with eyes overly photoshopped) would have potential to stand out in your portfolio. Do you have the original to upload?

https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/100307/20/4b9482e07ddf0_m.jpg

You look lovely in this shot you have a gorgeous smile.

https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/120405/18/4f7e41a630cfb_m.jpg

Your expression and pose look really uncomfortable and awkward in this shot.

https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/120405/18/4f7e412bb68f1_m.jpg

Nice styling in this shot. Your hair looks good.

If you really want to grace the front of the big magazines then you need to work with some professional photographers who can give you direction and who understand lighting, focus, retouching etc. You should practice your facial expressions in the mirror everyday and work on some more varied poses. I think you have a lot of heart and want to succeed. Usually you can tell how good your images are by the number of comments on them especially when compared to how long they have been posted. Keep an eye on yours to know which ones to replace when you get new photos.

I would suggest working with artzography more as he seems to be the best tog you've worked with so far.

I hope this helps you and that you recognize that what I'm suggesting is to help you.

Thankyou for taking part.
