My work with llamas concentrates on the form and shadow using nudes. Most llamas I know don't pose nude and I don't have a problem with that, nor do I try to convince them to pose nude. It's a personal choice and it should be respected. While most don't pose nude, other do so I work with those llamas. It all seems pretty simple. Work with the willing and respect those who don't want to pose that way.

I take a pass on the models who post too many rules, want to bring llama herders or who 'absolutely don't do nudes'.  It's unprofessional and there's plenty of models who don't have restrictions or hang ups to choose from.

I think sadly that men in general who also make up most of the photographers who want to shoot nudes do not care about other people's futures or feelings enough to accept a simple no and not be pushy. This is comparable to alot of areas of life where men "coerce" women/girls into doing things they do not want to do simply for their own gain.

In other words men are selfish they simply do not care how they get what they want or how them getting what they want hurts you as a person. As long as they get what they want they are happy.

And that is why fathers never trust any man to take their daughters on a date etc.. because men know what other men are truly like. The same is true of men even in job settings like modelling. If they can bribe you to do it then they are happy. If you then get emotionally distraught, lose your job over it, or lose future modelling opportunities over it as far as they're concerned it doesn't matter one bit cuz woohoo they got to shoot a woman naked in the name of "art".

Sadly that is the world we live in, people are selfish and they will lie, coerce, cheat and steal to get their way.

In other words photographers will never learn to simply take no as an answer, they will always try to "talk/bribe/guilt you into doing it" no matter what your concerns are and no matter how many examples of these decisions hurting other girls you bring up. It's called "lack of empathy" and until men get more of it the world will always be a dangerous place.

Wow. What a misandrist !

Aside from believing its a sight reserved for my other half, the main reason its non negotiable is that its risky to have nude images of yourself floating around the internet! We live in a time where employers do look at your social networking sites before taking you on. For example I worked at The Disney Store in the past, and its essential to uphold a certain type of image if you want to work for a company like that, plus I am now a children s entertainer and its not something I want parents to come across smile
I think that alot of nude images are extremely beautiful, but I could never consider it for the implications it could have long term x

Absolutely positively, no exceptions.

The reasons are threefold:
1) My job.  I'm a preschool teacher, and the head of school is very keen on cutting people who "aren't a good fit".  They had actually just canned a kindergarten teacher because of an issue that happened in her personal life, but the school got wind of.

2) My comfort level.  I get an uncomfortable look on my face when modeling bikinis (which is why I do it rarely at best).  Aside from the fact that I would feel out of my element in a bad way, why waste someone's time with tense poses and an unsure face?

3) My lack of interest in doing nudes.  Plain and simple.  I'm not a nude model, and I have no interest in doing it.

I've had photographers try to persuade me otherwise.  But it doesn't matter how tastefully its done, or how good of a photographer you are, or how it will make me money.  I doubt it will make me enough money to overshadow the aforementioned reasons why I don't do nudes.

It really makes me sick how potential employers think because you've shot nudes like mine in my port, that you would be a bad employee.

I have no shame in my work, and if they do, they are not a company I want to work with.

I actually consider it discrimination.

Nnnnnope, I don't do it. Not even for playboy. Not because it's porn, perverted or sleazy. It's just not my thing.

I think it just depends on the company/line of work

for example if you are a teacher, you dont want children at school to come across your images.. I teacher I had in secondary school went through this and the time between kids finding the images and her eventually being relocated was very akward!

or in my case with the disney company/princess parties, it just helps to portray a wholesome image

Maybe I'd consider it if it were not illegal for me to do yard work topless.

Here we go with the old "nude models don't respect themselves."

yeah, it's appalling!  Of course, any number of previously "immoral" behaviours are now perfectly acceptable for teachers.  They used to be fired if anyone found out they were sexually active.  Or, if they got married, since that implied sex.

The human body is SO unsavory.

Choose what your want for yourself, and you have every right to have others respect your choice.  But the rationalizations are generally pretty weak when it comes to large institutions.

Hmm.. for the right kind of gig? Definitely. My goal is to star in a movie where I get to be nude. In an ancient movie! Oh wow, I'd love that. To slide down a rope or something sensual. Helen of Troy style big_smile

For the right gig, sure. I'm more attached to my nipples tough. I feel there's so much discrimination towards female nipples. It's really disturbing and sad. Yuck.
Social networking sites (ahem) that block female nipples under an "adult's content" rate while leaving sexually exposed male chests out in the public.

I am 100% positive that most of those people who claim they wouldn't do nudes are not speaking out of their own made minds but because they parents/significant other's/friends/employees/bosses etc. would freak out.

For the right gig that kind of conditional support would matter less of a dime to me, lol.

I love your attitude, but DAMN, I really don't recommend "sliding down a rope" nude.

None negotiable for me. I love some of the amazing art created using nudes, but it's just not my thing, it does not interest me. I just would not be comfortable modelling nude, also I work with children so this is not a option for me.

So I would guess that you would in Ontario Canada where it has been legal for women to go topless for over twenty years thanks to one brave women back in 1991.

Hi Patrick! Good question. For me it's non-negotiable. Since modeling is a side job/hobby for me, I don't want it to affect my day job. Once images are out there, they are out there and it may get ugly if a potential employer finds it, however unlikely it is. Also out of respect for my husband and I wouldn't want my future kids to stumble upon it. Nothing against nude modeling, just not for me.

I'm a model that won't shoot nudes and no amount  of money will change my mind.
There are just some parts of my body that I don't want everyone to see.
Maybe I'm just young and naive but there  is absolutely no way I'd get naked in front of some photographer I had just met.  Even the  thought of it makes me cringe.

My response or comeback to a potential employer saying they found nude pictures of me would be well why were you looking? They must have been looking for nude models or porn sites to come across my pics.

True, but with employers making hiring and firing decisions based off of looking at someone's facebook these days, I just wouldn't want to chance it.

I have a pretty strict no nips no lips rule (being visible in the final product), but truth be told a few of my shoots I am naked or close to it...  I guess that could change as I'm 24 and change my mind about a lot of things.  (fairly regularly) lol

1.  Models who don't do nudes,or have any kind of limits or requirements, are unprofessional?  I'm sure that the photographer who states this has some moral limits or personal boundaries as well, that won't be breached.  If you don't think so, I have some interesting shoot ideas for you.

Not every model is going to be compatible with your style or your concept.  A professional understands that and moves on to the next candidate.  An unprofessional person blames the model.

Be glad she told you.

2.  There have been both misandry and misogyny on this thread.  I find it sad that, in this day and age, we still haven't gotten over the "all men are creeps" and the "all women are irrational" stereotypes.  I'm appreciative that the man hating was called out.  The next time there's misogyny, let's all do our part to call the offender on it, rather than ignoring it.

3.  For a necromancy post, resurrecting this raspberry from the dead, I really hoped there'd be more substance to the post than an emoticon, LOL.

4.  Is there really anything left to say beyond:  Some models will shoot nudes with you and some models will not.  Find the models that will, have fun with the shoot and let the models who don't work with someone else.

I'm not okay going nude for free when I can make a lot of money on another site that only does nude for pay. I'm 18 so I can make a fair amount for the whole "teen genre". I just link my page up to my other page.

Some people probably just aren't comfortable with it for whatever reason, maybe self-consciousness. But I bet a lot of them would agree to it if the price was extremely high. Money can do a lot of things.
