I think I'm gonna go with 6. You have some decent work but I wish there was some work with harsh lighting in your port (You kinda have one but it's backlit so I'm not counting it)

https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/130430/23/5180b2ac77cbd_m.jpg
I like the pose, model and composition in this image but the lighting is just way to flat against the completely black background for my taste.

https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/130826/23/521c476700f04_m.jpg
No duck lips please!  It makes a picture look like a selfie someone took with their phone :p

https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/130429/23/517f67ad8579c_m.jpg
I really wanna like this but you cropped off her hands.  Maybe you should have posed her differently or just cropped a little bit wider.

https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/130906/21/522aaa67cfe2a_m.jpg
Not a bad image but I just don't like the post work on this, maybe a less harsh vignette?

Pretty much the rest of your port is good work, keep shooting!

5.  You have some potential in your port but most of it is just shot in too amateur a style (not great lighting, not good composition, silly themes/styling).

https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/130907/09/522b4ef730b0d_m.jpg
I think this is my favorite of your port.  Even though it's lit from underneath, which isn't my fav, you look good and the shoot has a great lo-fi, vintage kinda feel too it which works for you.
This is also nice
https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/130907/09/522b4e1c7d7d8_m.jpg

I'm really not a big fan of this picture
https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/110309/06/4d7795bc2254c_m.jpg
It's just lit badly and the post work makes the image too saturated and yellow toned.  The composition isn't great either (your arm is more than 50% of the image, I'm not so sure about that).  Plus I just don't really dig the glamorization of self harm being someone that's struggled with depression, plus it can just seem like a cheesy shot if it isn't done really really well.

Hmmm maybe a 6 I'm not completely sure.  I really like your work with the projections but a lot of your lingerie work isn't my favorite and looks too bland for my tastes and a lot of your framing is off.

https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/130809/11/52053c0c84707_m.jpg
This has some potential but the post is just made awkward by the model, her head is down too much and kinda scrunching up her neck.  And it's cropped way to close on the left, leave  little space.  The lighting isn't my favorite either; too much fill maybe?  I feel like maybe you should stick with just one light on the model to keep things less complicated, really some of the best studio portraits and fashion work I've seen is shot with just one beauty dish or soft box, or even a bare light if you want that real harsh look.

https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/130809/11/52053b5736c84_m.jpg
This is a nicer use of the light you had, a good kinda high key image. I just wish it wasn't cropped so close to her eyes I think.

6-6.5 maybe.  I think you have some good variety in your port, which is always nice, I just think some of you're photos are lacking that professional touch.

https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/130825/22/521ae9d371ca0_m.jpg
This image is rather nice.  Good lighting, clean post work and nice pose and expression by the model.  The flowers and her hair are also nicely styled and go good with the soft lighting.

https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/130314/14/514247366adf7_m.jpg
I want to love this image, I really do because the model and movement are great.  I just am so bugged by her arms being up in the air like that, it just strikes me as weird (which I know makes no sense cause she has to do that to toss her hair that way) I wish you could've captured the image with her arms down by her tossing her hair with her head, maybe try that next time?  Also try to always light models with bangs from the side without bangs on it, so they don't get one eye in shadow, if that makes sense.

https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/100916/12/4c926a133361a_m.jpg

This is really pretty too, the pose it just a little forced is my only major complaint.  Great location though and I love the muted blacks.

Ooo a retoucher!  Hmmm ok I think I'll give you a 7.5-8.   I think the first two images show your best D&B skills and I honeslty love that you show the images with the curves all whacked out cause you really can see the imperfections/corrections better.  Some of you're older images just leave a little bit to be desired.

https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/130209/02/5116236ed21fd_m.jpg
In this image I think it's too much of a good thing.  It's so perfect and so clean it looks blurred, which I'm sure you know is not good.  Maybe just try to keep an eye out for that happening and maybe less is more with models with tiny pores and soft lighting.

https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/121224/06/50d86881029d6_m.jpg
The skin editing in this isn't bad but you need to do a better mask of the background so you don't have any blurred lines with the hair on the left.  Maybe try using channels to mask out the hair, that seems to work well.  I also don't like the black part you added to her lips, I would have copied the other side to edit it out on the right.

6.  I think you have tons of potential considering you're just starting out though.  You're avatar and the image with the model holding her hair up reminds me a lot of this artists work who I really dig
http://brenditaworks.deviantart.com/

I would scrap this though.
https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/130904/21/522801f05d3e8_m.jpg
It just looks like a candid photo and doesn't really go along with the rest of your port.

Also I'm not sure what camera you're using or what settings you're shooting at but a lot of your images look grainy and low quality (espeically this one
https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/130901/22/52242040d63bd_m.jpg),
almost like cell phone pics or you messed around with it too much in post, which isn't good.  Make sure you're shooting at around 200 ISO, you shouldn't have any problem if you're outside in the sun and if it's just that you have a sucky camera, don't worry that won't last forever :p

Oooo a Rochester local!  I actually recognize a lot of the locations in your shots haha.  But anyways I think I'm gonna have to give you a 5.5 maybe 6.  I think the shots by Kyle Makrauer are the best (especially this one https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/110206/16/4d4f38b781c90_m.jpg)  The rest are just a little bland or not great quality, nothing that really jumps at me as being great.

https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/110607/20/4deee7c7f1696_m.jpg
I really wanna like this but it just bothers me that the light had to have been directly overhead for the shoot, your face is nearly completely shadowed.  Otherwise it's a good grungy shot with some attitude.

https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/090518/07/4a117547f2534_m.jpg
Good intense look in this photo and the way your kinda stroking your hair reminds me of greasers so that's good I guess haha

Keep working, you do have potential to get some good shots!

Thanks for the feedback! I left a comment on one of your pics but they're all awesome. Let me know if you ever want to add a guy to your port which will in turn add that higher quality work my port is lacking! smile

7 mayyyyybe 7.5.  You have pretty good stats for fashion modeling (tall is always good and you're face is lovely!) I'm surprised you haven't shot more higher quality work. Some of the images aren't styled the best or don't have the best concepts which is what throws me off the most.

Here's some examples of that:
https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/110114/12/4d30ad6707d2c_m.jpg
I just don't like the scrarf around your head, the fabric is too textured and it just reminds me of a towel, which just ruins it for me.  Maybe if it was satin and shot a bit differently but this just isn't my fav

https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/110421/13/4db09971a477b_m.jpg
Same styling issue here.  Cool makeup but why's it so dramatic compared to what you're wearing, it just doesn't add up to me but really thats a photographer issue not yours.

This image is stunning and really should be your avatar
https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/110102/19/4d214536e6634_m.jpg
Great lighting, great expression; beautiful.

Really keep shooting, I think you have serious potential!

6.5 I think maybe a 7 on a good day :p.  You have some really good images but you also have some really not good images, which just ruins your port for me.  I think you have to be more careful about your styling and composition, it works against you in some of you're images.

https://www.modelmayhem.com/portfolio/pic/5122463
I feel like soft focus is really difficult to make look professional, and why the belt?  It just looks a little outta place.

https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/080712/23/48797a49a6ce2_m.jpg
Same kinda styling issue.  Why the sign?  I would be a decent photo without it but it just makes me not take the image seriously I guess.

https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/091116/19/4b021a2818bf2_m.jpg
Same deal, if she was on a beach I feel like this would be a great glamour image, but why is she in a bathing suit is a dirty looking alley?  It just doesn't fit for me

These are good though:

https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/120416/18/4f8cc764362d6_m.jpg (great location, I just wish the model was a little more relaxed is all)

Oooo tough choice, it's kinda a mixed bad I think I'm gonna go with 6.5-7.  I think you have some good images, just the bottom/some of your port doesn't match up with the rest of you work as much and looks less high end.

these are great though, wonderfully lit, great composition and great styling
https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/121018/19/5080c16c4b6c0_m.jpg
https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/121018/19/5080c129c0b48_m.jpg

Also really good, love to location and the concept and it's shot decently (I just wish it was a little sharper!)
https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/130112/15/50f1ec6f8b90a_m.jpg

I also think the grass dress photo is a nice manipulation but the other one next to it just isn't as good, and almost might be better without the post work, or better if you just shot it in a really nice location.

At 17 you also have tons of potential, especially with your height, you'd be great for fashion. A solid 7 I think.  You have some really professional images mixed in with a few not so great.  I don't think it's your modeling that's lacking but more that some of the concepts and styling on the images you should could be better.

https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/130808/11/5203e7deb1d9b_m.jpg
I want to love this image, but the wig and crazy makeup just ruins it for me.  I'd rather you just have you hair pulled back and maybe some minimal orange eye shadow on.  It's just a little over the top. Love the pose though smile

https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/120707/12/4ff894c77528c_m.jpg
Same with this, awesome styling and you look great but the bubble wrap just makes it look kinda cheap so it just missed that high end, Vogue factor.

https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/121201/05/50ba053532625_m.jpg
I really dig your pose it this, it just looks like it was messed around with too much in post, again not an issue with you.

This image is more one where I think you're posing in the issue
https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/130907/12/522b7ed38cc29_m.jpg
I like this image except I just fee like you're positioned awkwardly with the back lighting.  Your legs look shorter than they are and you could probably posistioned your feet further in front of you to make them look longer.  Also your chin is up too high and you kinda lose it with the lighting.  Really though your photographer should be helping you with that kinda stuff, just try to keep it in mind.  The black and white image for this set is easily my fav.

I'm gonna have to say a 5, sorry.  You just don't have professionally shot images in you port and the spot color and crazy makeup/post work just isn't anything high end.  You have a pretty face though so you do have potential to take some higher quality images.
https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/130624/15/51c8c1df2707d_m.jpg
I do like this one, minimal editing, simple and your eyes look crazy intense.

This ones not too bad either, you look good the quality of the photo/the post work just isn't the best
https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/130624/15/51c8c22c4906f_m.jpg

I really do think though that you need to part your lips and relax your face, especially in portraits.  Keeping your lips pressed together can give a feeling of tenseness and since you're doing it in every picture it just looks like you're not comfortable in front of the camera.  So many new models do this though I can't even tell you haha.

Will certainly take on board things like use of a single light.

All the best.
