I would love an opinion on where I can improve, and another person's overall impression of where I stand at this point.  Practice makes perfect!

A 7 I think maybe 7.5.  I kinda have mixed feelings about your portfolio.  Nothing really stands out as badly shot but very few really demand my attention, especially in the portraits.  Maybe shoot something really dramatically/harshly lit with a good fashion/portrait model who can give a really intense look.  I feel like some of the portraits are just missing that extra umph to make them really pop.

I really like the concept of the water splash portraits,  you should try that again maybe with a black background instead to really make the water and model pop.  Look at Iain Crawfords water portraits, she has some good examples.

Oh and this is my favorite image I think
https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/130905/20/52294d1dd459c_m.jpg

But I would almost ditch the one on the train tracks you just added, it just doesn't fit with the rest of your work I think.  Train stuff often looks low end and because of her smile and how she's dressed it just looks more like a senior portrait.

Thanks. I agree with you, I've been wanting to do something with more dramatic lighting for more umph and the train tracks one is now gone.

6.5 cause you have good stats.  I like some of your pictures but most kinda just have this lower quality american apparel style going on which I'm not really a big fan of.  I think you need to work more a little bit on expressing/posing your face and giving the right look and attitude to the camera.

6.  You have some decent stuff but you also have some really not so great stuff.

I think you need to think about your concepts more.

In this images the concept and composition really break it for me, mainly the garbage can and the cat outfit.  Unless you're shooting for Derelicte then being around trash isn't really the most attractive thing.  I get that you wanna do a sexy cat but there are way more high end ways of going about this.

Check out this image of Ulorin Vex

Much more consciously styled and executed. Keep high end in mind when you're thinking up concepts.

I think this is my favorite in your port

Great stats for a model but you're port just isn't all there yet so I think a 6.5.

I think you need to work the most on your posing, I think you look rather stiff in a few of your photos, mainly this one.
https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/130820/13/5213cf4162791_m.jpg

I think some pictures are also a little ruined by your expression
https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/130702/07/51d2deee8201f_m.jpg
In this image you almost look a little surprised rather than relaxed and sexy. Same with this one
https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/130406/09/516053b1ec6f9_m.jpg

Just try to be more conscios of your body and your face and practice in the mirror as much as possible and compare your experssions and poses to other models to help you get a feel for how to look.  Also naturally just continue to work with better shooters.

5.5 but mostly cause of the style and quality of your images rather than your look.  Too many of them are just shot in an amateur style and have low end post work which is kinda a bad combination.  I would really trim down your port cause some of your old images are really just pulling it down.  I'll give you a quick best and worst.

Best:

Worst:
Any from these sets

https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/130818/19/521180fc6ed9f_m.jpg

Be way more selective on who you work with because you don't have a bad look especially for glamour but the style of some of the images is just really dragging you down.

6.5 but I would really clean up your port cause I gave you a lower number because of some images that could easily be scraped.  I think this is kinda another issue of working with more high end concepts and really thinking about content and styling.  I think because of this some of your nudes or really simplistic portraits are your best work.
You're into the light series is really nice and simple as well as these:

These however just have not the best styling and look more amateur

6 maybe 6.5 I kinda have mixed feelings.  I think you have a strong look about you but I think the images in your port just aren't really that high quality.  I do think you have a wonderful body and great expression but maybe cause you're a little a little shorter than average model height and your age might be your downfall.  I would suggest maybe cleaning up your port a little of some of the lower quality images and just keep working with better photographers if you can.  Here's some bests and worsts to help

Best :
https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/081130/12/4932d3621b111_m.jpg
https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/090308/13/49b4283572406_m.jpg
And you're newer really clean headshots are also nice

Worst:
https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/100120/09/4b57380069d6b_m.jpg
https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/100707/00/4c342ff565f4a_m.jpg
https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/111024/05/4ea560d03484d_m.jpg

And a few that are similar.  Same as many other models just try to work with better photographers.

6.5 I think.  You do well considering your age and height.  Just try to make sure your styling continues to fit with your age and don't try to dress younger than you are, classy classy class at this age.  You almost have to stray away from anything really edgy or sexy and keep to simple portraits and commercial looks and just more relaxed stuff (Look at magazines like J.Jill and similar stuff).  Here's some best and worst.

Best:

https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/120920/18/505bc32237867_m.jpg (I know I said no edgy but this is just one of the better ones in your port)

5.  You need to really work on your composition and styling in images.  If you're shooting glamour put your models in locations that look glamorous.  The beach, a nicely decorated room, ect.  You also need to work on lighting.  It seems like in a lot of indoor stuff you're using a bare flash, which is hard to get a good look out of when you're still learning to shoot and working with amateur models.  Also keep in mind if you're shooting outside to shoot either around dawn or dusk for the best light.

Ones you should scrap:

5 I think.  I like the style your going towards though, seems like a conceptual or low-fi fine are style which I dig but really might not be that popular on MM, which caters more to fashion/beauty/glamour ect..  I think you just need to work on your styling of an image.  Some of them are good but other just look like snap shots where you didn't really come up with a concept or put much though into the picture.

Good:

Oooo tough I think I'm gonna say 7 maaaaybe 7.5.  You have great stats and I think a lot of potential and do have a vogue style look about you I just think you just need to continue you work with better photographers who are going to shoot more high end work or better quality lo-fi work.  Your posing seems rather natural and you give a good expression in your images.

https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/130617/10/51bf471f84307_m.jpg
I like this image but I hate that I can see your tongue.  Parted lips are good just try to make sure your teeth don't part too much or your mouth can look like it's open too wide.

https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/121125/05/50b221a186f9e_m.jpg
This isn't shot badly but I don't get the concept?  Are you a mermaid?  Why the flower crown?  Just try to be more selective of what you're shooting and really consider the high end, vogue look (Photovogue is a great place to get inspired)

Just keep shooting, I really think working with better people will be mainly what improves your port.

I think a 7.  Go stats and you have a nice look as well.  As far as your port I think you do need to learn how to pose a little better as well and work with better photographers that will shoot the right concepts.

https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/130101/17/50e38cf8d6124_m.jpg
This photo is wonderful, very unique and styled nicely and you look great in it.

https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/130731/05/51f9098d92517_m.jpg
This is a little amateur.  The pose is awkward and the location with the styling doesn't make sense (A bikini in a dirty graffiti area?) But again that has to do with working with the right photographer.

https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/130711/09/51ded91b9bbce_m.jpg
This is also nice, great styling and lighting and the pose works here I think, you do look a little tense though.

Keep it up, you'd got potential!

I don't think a 6.5 is that bad, I've become serious about modeling about 8 months ago, so it's steady progress I think.
And yes!
Others are constantly telling me too work on expressions, I don't know how to make my silly face obey.
