I wanted to be a professional dancer. I used to dance since a child up to I was 15 years old then things happen I had to put it on hold time flied by and I was too old to pursue that career and here I am a photographer lol I still sometimes sit and think to myself what would be like if I was what I wanted to be.

Up until my sophomore year in high school I was looking at going to tech school for welding and engine repair.

Needless to say I wouldn't be where I'm at now if that would have happened. Although if that did happen I could actually use a wire-feed and tig welder and not look like an idiot trying.

I never really thought about it at all until I was about 18. Then I looked at the market and decided on electronics engineering. When the market crashed in 86, I ended up working for the government. I suppose that (in hindsight) I would have been a happier person had I become a real chef as cooking is something that is near and dear to my heart. I suppose it is my one true love (other than Hue).  Oh well.

I've always wanted to be a masseuse. As soon as I'm done with my bachelors degree, I'm going to go to massage school.

At age 13, when I did already more or less 2 years of photography with my dads' camera... I knew that I wanted to be a photographer and photojournalist... now, I am all that... and a surrealistic painter as well... turning 50 next year...

I will die happy and fulfilled, with a few regrets but an awesome life. smile

When I was younger I wanted to be a geneticist or chemist, then I joined the Marine Corps and became an electronics technician which I enjoy.  Now I am working on getting an electronics engineering degree.

When I was a kid I wanted to be a vet.
That changed to an animator when I was in my teens and then changed again to a psychologist after I took a psychology course in highschool.

I have my BA in Psychology and a Grad Certificate in Concurrent Disorders.
Eventually I think I'll get my Masters in Counselling - but I've had enough school for now.

A jockey.

Then I reached 5'8" by age 11 and 5'10" by age 13.

Played some basketball instead... but I'd still love to try a little tricot that's so colorful it'll make all the epileptic folk twitch from a mile away and see just how fast i can go...

Ultimately i got to try a race horse in Sydney once.

Motorcycle still has nothing on That kind of wind in my hair...*sigh*reminisce*

I wanted to be an Olympic equestrienne, but we couldn't afford a horse or even lessons.

Then I wanted to be an opera singer.  I accomplished this.  smile

A writer.  That's the only thing I ever wanted to be.  I never became one in the sense that I meant it back then, i.e., writing novels, magazine articles, etc., but I  became a paralegal and did some original research and writing in that capacity.  That was satisfying, and it paid way better than trying to earn a living writing books and magazine pieces that nobody wants to publish.

Quite a lot of things, but mainly an author.

I also wanted to work in the mental health field.

I accomplished both at an early age.

One of the thing I wanted to do when I was a kid was to be a pilot.
I got my license in 1985.
One of the best things I've ever done.

When I was very young I wanted to be an Army pilot, like my dad. In my teens I thought I would become a race car driver. I always felt that my dreams were very fanciful...

Just about everything, in no particular order

Vet (till I learned Id also have to perform euthanizations.)
Ballerina
Truck driver
Airline attendant
Grocery store stocker
Teacher
Drummer
Artist
Chef
Farmer
Who knows what else…it changed just about every month.

Once I hit my teens and was being forced to plan the rest of my life out I drew a blank, theres no specific thing that I want to do for a living for the rest of my life. Everything I like I dont want to do for a business (or I know that theres no money in it to start with). Everything I know makes decent income Im not good at or have no interest in.

A racing cyclist, a published writer and a radio dj. I've done them all, still doing the last two, now I don't have any dream left. Only ever saw photography as a hobby, loved it and wanted to do it as much as possible but not for a living(got that one wrong).

I'll have to start dreaming again.
