I'm pretty sure she understands why I would say congratulations to her.

It is not really my place to explain, but even without additional information, most people understand that becoming a grandparent is something that one often receives congratulations for.

Yes, she's young, but she's not progressing, and she's due next week.  She should beyond the 2cm she is, and she's not thinning at all.  Plus, her blood pressure is a bit elevated, and he the doctor doesn't want to take any chances.  Both I, and my mother, had that problem.

As for being stuck with something...no, sir!  I will train him.  That's how I roll. 

And I will teach him French and German, and Latin, and Italian.  And music theory, and cooking, and jazz...and classical music.  And his vocabulary will be as large as his mother's, or larger, since the dad speaks mostly Spanish (and his favorite TV show is Jersey Shore...), and the dad's parents speak ONLY Spanish.
