We are in the stone age now... compared to the lost potential of a planet way more biodiverse and flourishing that got a bullet in the head 65 million years ago through the holocaust of Chixculub.

Would it have been 11 miles instead of like 6 we would still be all bacteria and primal soup today and until the sun turned into a  red giant.

And as you see rats and cockroaches inherited the Earth with the obvious results of a complete mismanagement, whereas Dinosaurs were able to manage the whole planet for 160 million years.

The most intelligent of them, Velociraptors and all, would be colonizing quasars by now if only that piece of putrid rock would have been 15 min late.

Dinosaurs were thriving and on their way to exterminate the mammals such was their vitality and how advanced their brains were.

A crow today is as intelligent as a cat yet its brain is only a fraction of the size of a mammal... so think of what could have happened.
