There is a version of the motion comic that restores that into the main story, as it was in the original.  I can imagine that on its own, it's dumb.  But it WAS part of the original graphic novel, and a somewhat important parallel story to the main themes in the book.  A bit of an "Inception" device in comics.

If you have any possible way of getting it, I highly recommend it.  I forgot to add that to my list.  I've watched it twice now, but it's difficult, as it's almost 6 hours long.  I apparently loaned it out and forgot to whom.  So it's gone.  But you can watch it on YouTube here.
