The only thing I've heard negative about SG that relates to this site, is that if you are signed with them then you can't do anything in association with another agency or group.

Hi! Honestly, the majority of the girls you ask will tell you it's not worth the effort
I know of tons of models who have put so much effort into building their profiles and creating sets but are still suicide "hopefuls" after years because their set is never voted set of the day.
So even if the payoff is really good IF your set is voted yes and you actually get that suicide girl status, the chances of getting it are actually quite slim. The people on there are generally sometimes a little elitist and picky. Anything short of what they're generally used to seeing (super professional pierced and tattooed conventionally attractive and thin models) usually doesn't get that much attention

SG has a reputation for being super into suing people and most photographers won't work with anyone who has ever been a SG.

Where did that come from?  I've never heard of any such bias.  We talk about red flags like 'wants to bring an escort', 'wants all the RAW files', 'wants to bring their own model release/contract', but having pics on SG has never been mentioned as a red flag.  Even if the company behind SG is overly litigious, all they can do is sue the model who they have a contract with, not the next photographer.

Seriously? Do a web search for "Suicide Girls Lawsuits" and prepare to be stunned. You really must be the last person on earth to have heard about this.

If a model tells me she wants to do some suicide-girls-type images, I'm totally in. If she says she wants to submit to Suicide Girls, we're done talking. The business model is toxic, litigious, problematic. And yes, they sued photographers. Steer clear.

It finally got to the point where good photographers ran away and quality models couldn't get good images, so their content suffered. They ended up with wannabee models submitting images taken by GWCs , and not even good GWCs.  I suspect their own meanness caused a drop in revenues, and I'm not surprised. I saw a pseudo-documentary on Showtime a few months ago that was all about (and probably produced by) Suicide Girls, and it was about their efforts to rebrand themselves and relaunch as a new type of entertainment company (sort of like Playboy Online). I wish them all the luck they sorely need.

Some live under a rock...

I get emails about hopefuls wanted in.  I simply pass or block them, lol.

They make the model and photographer involved with any shoot sign away all their rights and mandate the most ridiculous amounts of non-compete clauses you can imagine. Their policy has always been "Sue first, and ask questions later". For most of us in here, this is as well known as understanding that the sun rises in the east, but obviously the memo never got to your desk yet.
