Instagram, Facebook and Twitter.

I try to use a service, like ifttt to automate some of the processes, so it's efficient and painless.

I use Facebook but only for friends and family. I use Instagram but not for modeling shots only landscapes. I don't use Twitter.

My favorite by far is Instagram where I'm very active and engaged with my followers and the photographers that I follow. I regularly shoot with people that I've met through IG.

haha, not really tho. 2 different platforms if you ask me. Instagram is 99% original photo content being posted. When I left Facebook it was nothing but people sharing things that appeared in their news feeds. and advertisements.

Instagram is the one for me:

It automatically repost in Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr and I wish it would do it in G+ too.

Total Facebook whore.

I'm not saying its a business strategy or a mortgage payer, but its the best medium I have had for clients and models. These things have at times compounded themselves through folks seeing my work and wanting to be a part of it. The quality of those sources have gotten way better over time for me. Even some local magazine work has been able to coordinate between groups of folks involved, most of which stayed on to be friends and sometimes clients afterwords. I dont even have a separate account for my photography, every one who friends me gets to see my wife, cat and granddaughter in all our silly outings and projects.

My web site has brought me zero anything despite its years of cost. I thingk I'll dump it after this year and fly without it.

Answer: What is MySpace?

Oh sorry I thought we were playing Jeopardy.

Is there any current social media platform that existed in its current form in 2004? Not Instagram or Twitter and Facebook was just barely getting started and was limited to a college or two.

I wasn't being literal.

Thefacebook (correct spelling) was open to the Ivy League schools in late 2004 and moving to being accessible to all universities. I spent two weeks advising the boys at Harvard on photo usage while my good friend Cindy (childhood pal of one of the boys) provided page design advice. When our checks arrived in the mail I rushed to cash it thinking they would be out of biz shortly - why take on Friendster and MySpace I thought. Cindy took a job with them and well, she does not worry about her finances.

Nope.  I get clients the old fashioned way.  Face to face.

Barely. I use this site and Facebook, and my FB account is set to restrict posts and tagging.

It seems like if you aren't developing a brand or creating a cult of personality, social media is more distractions and arguments than positivity.
