Vintage (WW2?) Manipulation
I forgot to add I have permission from the photographer (chucks photo) to let you guys manipulate something from this image Anyone interested in editing/manipulating this? Feel free to be inspired to do whatever you please! Just leave a comment below with your email and I will send you the hi res (please don't use the low res) *You can use the image in your port as long as you give credit to me and the original photographer as well *The usage would be for MM portfolio, Facebook, and ONLY if you agree first, possible publication in small time magazines. (Where the only compensation is a tearsheet for everyone) ..If you're interested, recently I have been published in Rangefinder Magazine, Giuseppina Magazine, Glam Rock Magazine, Modelixir Magazine (x3), etc. and most of it included work manipulated by digital artists, so it is a very good possibility to get an image published if we collaborate together! [email protected] Sep 07 12 06:46 pm Link Alright looks like I got everyone a link now! Anyone else? So far I've only seen one manipulation from this photo despite all the people asking for it LOL...it always works out that way This is always how my retouch threads go... ...20 ask for the photo....only 10 respond to my email/s.....4 people lose interest over time...2 people say they'd love to but are just too busy...and then about two people actually edit something, and I usually (hopefully) end up using the best one! Oct 26 12 12:53 pm Link That´s a Gestapo helmet. It could be illegal to display in some countries. Or at the very least very controversial. Now let me see...it´s like wearing the swastika. More or less the same thing. Maybe not so very smart, if you wanna look somewhat educated. Gestapo was the Nazis secret police during WWII and their leader was Heinrich Himmler. Go figure. Just sayin´ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gestapo Oct 26 12 03:40 pm Link freddah wrote: Yes I am aware of the history behind the outfit. It was a paid shoot and although I don't agree with what they stood for and did, it still was apart of history and I am only playing a role of what the photographer wanted. If you are offended or others are offended by this image, Sorry! Nov 06 12 03:33 pm Link freddah wrote: Maybe it's "not so very smart" to comply in "some countries" that don't have freedom of speech. This "lets not talk about it because it may offend someone" is the height of stupidity. Nov 06 12 04:49 pm Link Nov 07 12 12:06 am Link Nov 07 12 06:54 am Link I'm sorry! I see nothing wrong with it. It's a damned prop! Most people don't see anything wrong with knives, guns, blood, or all trussed up and hanging from the ceiling by their nipples. So what is wrong with an old German hat! Seems they have the right to themselves for zero tolerance of any form of media remotely suggesting adoration of the Nazis, whether by intentional politics or aesthetics . Stupidity is what came out of that ideology, not the understandable reaction to it. It's just a matter of practicality that flaunting such regalia for fashion, enjoy it or offended by it, will not be shown in public in Europe if it hasn't been given legal waivers which can be obtained but don't come easy. Nov 07 12 07:47 pm Link [email protected] Please. Nov 07 12 07:52 pm Link I am now caught up with everyones requests for this If anyone else wants a link to my dropbox folder of unedited hi res images let me know Nov 07 12 09:44 pm Link Laurel Rae wrote: Me me !! Nov 08 12 06:28 am Link Wifebeater lends nothing to the image, other than it is grey as is the cap, radio and mic, even the handset are obviously post WWII and lend even less cred to the concept. Insofar as wearing an S.S./Gestapo cover is concerned, shock value is neither enhanced or detracted by the attempt at backdrops...people will either be offfended or not offended. Lets just say, hitler was the problem, the swastika, and germans, were not...? Come on... Who would waste their time murdering millions for no reason other then pure power. Its one of the most... Symbolic meanings we could display, and yes it could have been offensive provided you posed nude with the hat, however theres a bit of a location/set here so id say its rather fitting and telling of a story. History is my living actually and I think there is a huge difference between being personally offended and an image being generally offensive. Nov 13 12 01:03 am Link I appreciate peoples thoughts and opinions and I am also caught up to date on link requests. I made a separate thread regarding the question of being offensive to some because I didn't want this thread to get off-topic (sample forum) and get locked. I believe the thread is in the Model section. I did not make it to "draw more attention" to myself... Nov 13 12 11:08 am Link Yes it´s true that Adolf was fascinated by history and mythology. Arians and the Swastika and many other things. But...the Hindu Swastika is right-facing. The Nazi version is left-facing. Tilishia wrote: Nov 17 12 06:55 am Link |
