I'm am cosplayer! Been doing it for a couple of years now. What brought me here is that I was looking for a photographer to do a shoot with, that can capture the heroic stances and comic book feel.
I'm a cos-player and did a shoot as a modern Marquisa de Sade and as a post-apocalyptic paratrooper who landed in Copley Square in Boston - I prefer to fuse ideas from movies, video games, and animation and come up with something totally new. Most recently I've been doing 1770s era Bucaneer costumes for pirate fests - see my etsy TrenDevian site and worked at the Wizard World New Orleans comic con as Delerium. 10 points if you can name that graphic novel.
Most of my portfolio is currently cosplay. I've done quite a few other costumes than what's in my gallery, but need professional photoshoots done with them.

I saw an absolutely PERFECT Lulu at a mini-con I went to in Leeds a couple of months ago. It works amazingly as a cosplay xD
And to reply to the topic; yeah I love cosplay (and anime in general). Haven't actually done proper cosplay shoots yet and I need to get practising with a needle because I'm incapable of sewing so can't make my own costumes at the moment xD
Last one I did was Misa Amane but it was literally some clothes I already had that she'd probably wear, a blonde wig and a Death Note. Unfortunately the wig went bye bye because the damn thing got all tangled and destroyed when I put it in my bag. It was a cheap wig, so I suppose it was to be expected.
The shoot I would absolutely love to do is Lightning from FFXIII when she becomes a Valkyrie. Actually growing my hair to be like hers anyway so it would probably make sense as well.
I know a girl who's an actual genius when it comes to making cosplay costumes. She's actually becoming renowned, she's that good. My favourite was when she did Harley Quinn. She looked absolutely amazing. Wish I had her talent, she has too much for one person if you ask me. Genius.
I'm also a cosplaying model. Funny thing was, I wore the costume while not knowing who the character was (it was Celty). The photographer was a big anime fan though and my best friend.
I cosplay and go to a handful of conventions on the east coast ... Sadly I only had 2 photographers on MM showered interest in capturing me in such costumes so I never bring it up.
