Hi everyone,
I'm trying to mount my 12 year old Novatron flash heads with fixed reflectors and dinky, 1/4" hole in the base to a very sturdy Avenger C-stand. The C-stand has the industry standard 5/8" (?) pin at the top. The Novatron only accepts the 1/4" diameter pin that came with the flimsy light stands. Is there an adapter that will attach firmly to the C-stand standard-sized pin and then reduce down to a 1/4" male pin that will fit inside the hole in my Novatron head? Can anyone provide a part number or link to an online source for same adapter? Thanks

If i understand you correctly, yes there is.  I had to do the same thing.  Novatron has them.

You betcha.  5/8 to 3/8, 3/8 to 5/8.  You can safely assume there is an adapter for almost anything.

I said "almost".

Novatron also makes a replacement adapter so you can switch out the 1/4 with a 5/8. -- but I was cheap and used a drill press to enlarge the light receptacle to 5/8.  I unscrewed the receptacle at its pivot point, locked the receptacles down in a vise grip on my drill press, set my drill press to provide a precise depth & placement and using a standard bit for metal I drilled the receptacles to 5/8.  Replaced the receptacle back on the pivot arms and they've worked flawlessly for years.
