Shooting a 16 y/o nude, but covered sparsely?
(Before you read on, you should know I'm adding this edit, informing you that I've already told her I'm not going to do the shoot. It's far too much risk, and has no real purpose, as she's too young) OK, there's a 16 year old hottie model who wants me to shoot some risque' stuff of her....... barely covered. ......and let me say right off the bat--her mother will be present with us. Her mother is all for it, and in fact kinda came up with the idea of doing it. Basically, she wants to pose nude, but covered in let's say...fruit. (But it won't be fruit exactly--I'm keeping it a secret) Is this remotely illegal? (I'm in Nashville,TN) I know in the least, it could be called immoral, or just damn risky, and even pointless or worse. Her naughty bits will all be covered well. She and her mom will be signing a model release, etc. Should I do this, or pass on it? Any opinions? It's just TFP. Oct 12 08 10:01 am Link In for the fireworks. Oct 12 08 10:02 am Link Ew. She's probably gonna regret doing it later unless she a major whore already. Oct 12 08 10:04 am Link No, it's not illegal. Even shooting her nude would not be illegal. If the images are sexual in nature, then it would be illegal even if she was fully clothed. Oct 12 08 10:04 am Link being in the bible belt is a big hurt to images as you speak of.... I am in Jackson not far to the west of you and I get heated reception for similar work... parent consent or not! Oct 12 08 10:06 am Link I'd say just save yourself the hassle and tell the girl to come back when she's 18. You referred to her as a 16 year old "hottie model" and the type of posing you're going to be doing doesn't sound quite so innocent. It's probably going to be easier on you just to not do it. Oct 12 08 10:08 am Link Interesting situation. Is there a purpose for the shots by either party? While shooting may not be illegal if you already have this attitude it might lead you somewhere bad. Oct 12 08 10:09 am Link Worrying. Oct 12 08 10:09 am Link Her mom mentioned to me that she's already done some lingerie shots before. ...She's a sweet girl, and has a good brain. She's well spoken. I think possibly her mom is trying to live this out vicariously through her hot daughter. Oct 12 08 10:10 am Link Shane Irwin wrote: You are really pushing it. The mother and you should both know better. BTW it isn't the nudity per se, its the risque part that will get you in trouble. Oct 12 08 10:11 am Link JLC Images wrote: I understand your point. I'm just loose in language sometimes. I was only trying to make a point that she's built well, beyond her years. Trying to say she's got the figure to show off. Oct 12 08 10:12 am Link its not worth it - i say pass... if we all live in a world with rose color glasses - i would say go for it but we dont. the last thing you need is to be f*cked with over some photos... Oct 12 08 10:12 am Link Lumigraphics wrote: Agreed. Oct 12 08 10:12 am Link Its not illegal no. But calling her a "hottie" and saying the shots are going to be "risque" is very very probably a good way to get you into a WORLD of shit Oct 12 08 10:13 am Link Shane Irwin wrote: i dont think taking her photograph should be your biggest concern.... Oct 12 08 10:18 am Link The expression "can of worms" springs to mind. Rather you than me mate , but there you go. Glad to see you are taking the pro approach with this ' hottie '. Oct 12 08 10:22 am Link I don't understand what could be exciting to photograph some 16 year old in the nude but making sure the results in the camera are ones of the kid being covered in selected areas. Althought the mother is all for it, this just adds to the validation that just because you have a kid, doesn't mean you know what's right or wrong. Some pieces of crap biological mother and fathers have sold their child for drugs. Oct 12 08 10:23 am Link I would suggest practicing something less dangerous first: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nYzsskE5ObA (Ironic that the OP has the Crocodile Hunter's last name) Oct 12 08 10:25 am Link Shane Irwin wrote: Ask yourself is this girl worth going to jail for? Ever watch nightline and heard of a sting operation just looking for people gullible enough to take the bait? There are millions of girls over 18 that one should never have to shoot anyone "risque" under 18. If you have to ask people if it is ok then you probably already know the answer. MY least favorite thing to say: " Good morning Your Honor". Oct 12 08 10:28 am Link It's the whole "Miley Cyrus" deal. That opened up a can of worms for the younger crowd. Now they all want to do it. I have a 17 year old keep asking me for the same thing. I keep putting her off. When she's 18, I'll consider it, but will probably still put her off. Keep in mind that while it isn't necessarily illegal to do this, you have to be careful of HOW you present the image. IF you do this, and I sincerely hope you pass on it, make damn sure it is clearly artistic in nature and can't be mistaken for anything else. How old is the photographer? What is the age of consent in Tennessee? How does the photographer know she is not a virgin and is that something we really need to know? Actually I think this thread might just go down as the TROLL of the DAY winner. Oct 12 08 10:31 am Link |
