Some Chicago, IL models have asked me what size photos they should have in their portfolios.  I have heard that some are using 11x14, but I don't know where they are getting the albums to hold that size.  Let's trade info on resourses.

I've seen that size here in Tulsa.  Nothing strange about it.

Photographers: 11x14
Models: 9x12
Actors: 8x10

From what I understand, that's pretty much standard across the board.

If that's incorrect, feel free to correct me. smile

The standards for Chicago are the same as the US period.

Models 9X12
Photographers 11X14

Are the prints usually in an album?  How are they fastened together?

Fastened together?

A portfolio is a leather bound book or album that contains the pictures. It's just like a normal photo album, only a particular size and look to it.

Actually, Chicago follows neither the english measure system nor metric.  They've invented their very own units of measure, especially for sizing models portfolios.  There are rumors that you can only buy the correct size from the governor's office, and of course portfolios cost a lot less than a senate seat.

And if you believe any of that, I've got some frozen swampland to sell you...
