..."FYI"...

The location is not a secret, it's just not announced yet until it is secured for our exclusive use...

The dates have changed because of other much larger events that are happening during those dates discussed and we don't want them to be a conflict among the participants...

The photo contest has been introduced so as to add a better participation of both the models and photographers...

The new disclosures are for the protection and the benefit of both the model and the photographer so as not to create conflict amongst the participants...

Certain things have changed for participation so to get a better response and involvement from both the models and photographers and thus keep everyone happy, content, and fair amongst everyone...

...if you have more questions, then please post them here so we will know who wishes to participate, provide input, and overall have a good time...

peace...

for event info and no whiny babies.

Is there any idea when the parks people are back in action?
Has there been a call yet?  Or should I try and start calling the 26th, and hope I get them on the 2nd or 5th.

If Feb 7th is not available... what time?

and if we need insurance... what do I say?

...the parks person that we need to talk to is apparently on vacation till January 2nd...

...it's a public park so insurance will probobly not be needed that why we have the waivers...

...because of so many ouitstanding events in the later part of January, it will have to be in febuary...   The 7th is the first tentative date to play safe...

Once everything is committed, I'll tag people's pages. I know a lot of people who were disappointed by not getting tags or any information about the event.

Page is updated with as much information as we have.
Poor James' house is no longer the event location. wink

Friends looked through, no obvious GWC's approved... none really there.

PM me (Hana/Joye/whoever... if you think I need to change/add something.)

Tags about the event go out from this profile if I'm correct?
and it's just a matter of the finalization of details of importance.  n'es pas?
of course it doesn't hurt to encourage people to add the OMG as a friend, as well as
word of mouth.  smile
But we should aim for tags to go out at least a month prior to event.  Which is not in our advantage, time wise.

Bickering stopped... holidays are here.  Post holidays, we get down to business?
I'll snoop around and see who I know that has used the venue and what they had to do to get it.

Beyond the obvious, and my apologies for being lazy and not looking, but what is the short answer of what a Meet and Greet is.

If it's nothing but a social event to meet and greet Orlando area photogs and models, then that's that... but is there anything else I could expect?

...* Febuary OMG UPDATE *...

Location : Dickson Azalea Park/Mayor Carl T Langford Park
              1808 E Central Blvd Orlando FL, 32803

Date and Time : Saturday Febuary 21st, 10am till 5pm

Dickson Azalea Park :
: Come experience a walk through time as you meander along Fern Creek in historic Dickson Azalea Park located across the street from the City of Orlando’s Mayor Carl T. Langford Park. The Washington Street bridge was constructed in 1926 and is reflective of many bridges found in South Florida. The lush landscaping, singing birds and flowing water are a treat to many visitors. This park is an oasis for those needing a quiet place to eat lunch or to reflect when this area was a watering hole years ago for cattle ranchers to quench the thirst of their cattle in Ferncreek. The dragonflies, shady trees and quietness of Dickson Azalea Park are a must see for people of all ages to experience.

Mayor Carl T Langford Park :
: The Mayor Carl T. Langford Neighborhood Center provides a natural oasis in downtown Orlando. The center is located in a shady oasis of mature oaks, wide sidewalks, green lawns, birds, butterflies and plenty of room for the kids to play. Young children will love the swinging bridge over the creek and the playground . There are a great deal of educational and fun nature programs offered in our beautiful neighorbood center. We offer a yearly summer nature and art camp, as well as family and corporate picnics at a reasonable rate. The Mayor Carl T. Langford Park is a beautiful place to have a quaint wedding ceremony at an affordable rate. The Central Florida Folk, Inc. performs the second Sunday of each month through fall and spring.

The park we have been looking at is Dickson "Azalea Park" which is a beautiful sunken park rich in green foliage and with a small stream that runs the length of the park running through several bridges and cavelcades...   The park runs from E Central Blvd along Rosearden Dr to E Robinson St...

Unfortunately the original tentative date (Saturday Febuary 7th) is unavailable due to previously scheduled events put on monthly by the park (Art Fest and Music in the Gazebo)...
We figure that no one will want to go on Valentines day (Saturday Febuary 14th) so the next available date is Saturday Febuary 21st 9am till 5pm.?...   The other possibility is to hold the OMG on a Sunday instead of Saturady, It doesn't have to be a ritual and maybe since new blood is starting over than maybe the OMG should start over too in a new year with a new day.?...   this will be your chance to speak out of the day and date, but we will need to know by this Saturday the 7th to confirm and put a deposit down for the day specified...

   ..."So Get Crackin"...

*edit*

Clothing requirements are the same as it was at Wekiva Park, No Nudity...
Get this though, they say that we are not allowed Tripods unless we get a media liscense from the city first.?...  I will be checking this out tomorrow.?...
And of course, NO Alcohol...   big_smile

There will be of course the typical waiver to be signed by everyone before anyone can participate, and there will be a new waiver included in the sign-up package, this waiver is being designed to protect both the models and photographers to make sure the models recieves all images promised to the models by the photographer in a time frame agreed upon between the both of them. This is to prevent past problems between Models and Photographers about the images and will be signed by both parties before any photography is done.
There will also be a small fee imposed by all photographers who intend to shoot at this event (The OMG is NOT a shootout but a social event designed to promote working realationships between all interested parties either working in the modeling industry in any capacity or strictly for private portfolio development), this fee will be divided up fairly among all the models being photographed at this event, MUAs will also be imposing a similar fee to promote thier bussiness...
This new waiver and the photography fee have been designed to promote a better atmosphere of professionalism amongst everyone attending these and all future events...

   Thank You...

...Poker Chips : What about cards.?. I hope we don't get that bored that we resort to a card game, unless you have another illicite use for these handy little items...

...Traffic Cone : You just never know when one of these may come in handy...

...Lamp : Better bring a really long extention cord since we'll be in an open park...
