A bunch of manufacturers have been kind enough to throw in roughly $10k worth of things to give away. Granted, this was more to do with what I do in the industry than it was with Facebook, but I have not asked anyone for anything. The only way companies have found out is by seeing my posts themselves. We turn down multiple companies a week based on our current workload with Facebook email, so I would say it is a very legit source of work/ income for photographers. I don't model, and haven't for a very long time, so I can't comment about getting any work on that end. I hope other people are seeing as much interaction and gain from Facebook and other social media as we are. Please note, my medium is not fashion, or the "typical" pretty model.
