This is a members only weekly competition exclusively for TheList photographers and the newbie models who have connected with them through The List. This is a chance for members of TheList to showcase their work!

Honoring our second Newbie Model of the YEAR winners!

We have a tie for Third Place this year:

WELCOME to The "NEWbie MODEL of the Week"~!!

To enter this competition you must be a "LIST" *photographer and your **model must meet the criteria set for newbie models by "TheLIST~TopDrawer". The TopDrawer will validate your entry and TopDrawer members will vote every Sunday-Monday on each valid entry with a majority vote deciding the week's winner. Our new Newbie Model of the Week will be announced and presented every Tuesday morning.

LIST photographers shall post in this thread, 3-5 images of the newbie model they've chosen to submit. No 18+ images or links please. If your model wins we will post one image (our choice)to represent the winning model. As a LIST *photographer you may submit one **newbie model per week. If your model doesn't win you may submit the same model again after 30 days.

Each winning model will be presented at the top of the thread, with our favorite Pic and a short bio. The winning model will also be featured as "NEWbie MODEL of the Week" in the "NEWbie MODEL of the Week" Winners Gallery at pbase.com.  In addition the winning model and his/her LIST photographer will be awarded a banner to display on their profile page.

In the event that only one nomination is received before the deadline, that nomination will be rolled forward into the next scheduled contest.

You must post your entry for "NEWbie MODEL of the Week" in this thread by Sunday midnight EST. You may post your entry only once each week and you may not "bump" your entry post. Failure to follow these guidelines may result in disqualification. 

This thread is to be used only for submitting images and brief commentary about your newbie model. If you want to discuss or comment you may do so at "TheLIST".

* Definition of LIST photographer: A photographer who has submitted work to and has been approved by "TheLIST~TopDrawer"
** Definition of a "newbie model": Any aspiring new model who is a MM member. (S)he may not be affiliated with any modeling agency as of yet and the model's portfolio must reflect a "newbie" ambiance, including images, listed experience and contacts. (S)he may not show in their profile tours, rates, or anything else that would give her the appearance of a working professional model. If in doubt our Top Drawer Committee will make final determination.

I hope this is still going on with this new thread. I'd like to submit 1 of 2 new models I worked with recently. Both were fantastic, daring, and adventurous, making the shots we came up with a little bit different than usual.

Great start to this week - I'm out of town again, but theLIST members please review the guidelines and nominate your favorite newbie model here!

Kara, MM# 1041236
She is a lovely young woman, I enjoyed working with her.
She takes direction well and she has a natural grace.
This shoot was for the Canadian designer Temna Fialka,
and the collection is for Cirque Du Solei.
It was a long and stressful day.
So I can tell you that Kara works well under pressure.

I first noticed Stacia O., MM #1364991, in a café in San Francisco while having breakfast with my daughter.  I very seldom invite people I meet on the street to do a photo shoot, but Stacia's smile as I was leaving pushed me over the edge and I gave her my card.  Two weeks later, she contacted me about shooting a set.  The photos below, and on her port, are the result.  I only wish that she lived closer to San Francisco; she's already getting lots of attention from Reno area photographers!

Sarah is Seventeen and in the short time she has been modeling she has accomplished a rather diverse portfolio. She was one of the models I used for the Cirque shoot. I found her very easy to work with, she takes direction well, and I just liked her company. I would definitely work with her again. 







She has recently been signed with an agency, but she is still learning and needs help to develop her modeling skills.

This series was taken at the group shout LEGS II during our 1 hour session .

Presenting Erin Hoffman, MM #1286659.  Although new to llamaing, Erin is an experienced actor.  All of the shots below resulted from our first shoot together, a seven hour marathon that yielded six distinct concepts.  Erin's versatility and maturity set her apart.  All photos are unretouched.

Here's Caty K, MM #811144.  She is one of the most versatile newcomers I've encountered, and an absolute delight to work with!  After earning a degree in International Relations, Caty decided to forgo a diplomatic career and pursue the arts.  It was very difficult to pick five representative shots from the three shoots we've done; I could have easily submitted twenty.  None of these images have been retouched.
