Nude models with tan lines
I think it's mainly a preference thing. Some photographers are ok with it, but many won't consider you if you're not one even skin tone all over. Apr 06 10 10:35 am Link tan lines are so cheap Apr 06 10 10:37 am Link If you only go to the beach to swim, get in the water, take off your clothes and swim naked. Sensibly the only way to avoid tan lines is to be naked so you just need to find a nude beach near you. Apr 06 10 10:38 am Link lol tan lines are not the ideal, but am i going to refuse to photgraph someone because they have them.. heck no! Apr 06 10 10:45 am Link if you dont want tannnin lines the mystic can go both ways, it doesn't get under your breasts if you tan nude but doesn't get as tan on them if you decide to tan in a bikini. Apr 06 10 10:45 am Link are spray tans a problem because of the "orange" look or because of the way it shows up on camera?+ Apr 06 10 10:53 am Link Lindsay Ryan wrote: u and i probably have the same tone... have u encountered a solution, do u use the mystic? Apr 06 10 10:54 am Link I guess I'm in the minority here. I don't in the least give two squats whether a model has tan lines or not. Its just one more thing that makes us all different, right up there w/ tattoos, facial features, hairstyle, & how they groom themselves (among many other things). Apr 06 10 10:57 am Link To me tan lines look more like "caught naked" than deliberately nude. So yeah, I also dislike them on principle. A gal booked me for some private nudes, and we had to wait 4-5 weeks for her vacation tan lines to fade. Apr 06 10 11:00 am Link I'll shoot ya . . . tan lines and all . . . Apr 06 10 11:38 am Link there is a brand of bikinis that uses a special fabric that let sun tru without anyone seeing tru, so you get a full body tan without taking your clothes of. don't remeber the name tho. I also avoid those with the baked on tans .... The guys who just want to see you naked will not care Apr 06 10 12:37 pm Link It's funny how this thread turned out. I started it because I wanted to know what to do about my tanlines and it turned into a thread about everyones opinion of them... not complaining, good reads none-the-less and some great advice as well. Thanks everyone! P.S. I'm not a sun worshiper!!!!!!! Apr 06 10 12:39 pm Link J Welborn wrote: Good to know. I'm naturally tan and my skin soaks moisture well. I might try a deluted spray or experiment with something. I am brown, I never in my life have been orange, if I use too much... I'll just get dark brown and the baked look only makes me look more ethnic. I'll figure it out. Apr 06 10 12:52 pm Link Depending upon what I was shooting, tan lines may or may not be a problem. Most of the time, I don't want them in the image. But, as you're finding out, photographers don't speak with a unified voice on this. If there is a photographer that you want to work with but (s)he doesn't want tan lines, you might want to offer to hire a MUA that is experienced in blending fake-n-bake solutions (oils, sprays, whatever) so that your lighter areas match your tanned areas. If we were to work together and you made that offer,I'd have no problems with the tan lines. I'd try to find poses that would minimize the lines further. Apr 06 10 12:53 pm Link Opps cant post that here nevermind Apr 06 10 01:04 pm Link I grew up when Playboy was the only thing around for a teenager to ogle. ALL the models had dramatic tan lines. Creamy skin tones where the bikini used to be was NORMAL, and frankly, I miss those days... guess I'm getting old. I have no advice re hiding tan lines; on the contrary I LOVE them and wish more models had them...maybe I should make a special casting call.. Apr 07 10 08:50 pm Link |
