Do they exist? I've looked but can't find any. I don't want to fall into the trap of those scams that pose as agencies and say "you have a great look, we can help you for free but you do need to fork out £300 for copyright of photos". There's too many of those now. I don't know which ones to trust

I don't know for sure so I won't say no in case I'm wrong.

but...of the nude models I know, they all get their work, nude work at least, freelancing.

I've never heard of one. That doesn't mean they don't exist, but I've never heard of one. I get all my work through freelance networking. I don't rely on anyone else to find me work.

Not an agency. Usually a cooperative, a collective or a area union. San Francisco has one - mostly for art models (painting, drawing) some venture into photographic art. I think Seattle has one too. Iona Lynn got accepted into the San Francisco one.

Yup, that's it - a artists' model guild. They basically certify that you are an experienced art model, establish base fees and have you on the available list.

The Washington, DC area has a figure model's guild.  I believe the San Fransisco bay area may, too.  So it's not entirely unheard of for metropolitan areas to have things that resemble agencies...but most don't.

I googled this a few days ago actually. I found one in Europe called "BM Models" or something. I don't think that "BM" and "Models" are two phrases that should ever, ever coexist, but they're based out of Denmark or something and probably don't know any better. Oh, the Europeans-- so much more laid back about nudes. I also found one in Hungary. I wonder how much demand there is for nude art models in Hungary?

I can see how such an agency would make enough to stay in biz
No commercial clients
Art photographers as main demographic....not a group exactly swimming in cash contrary to popular belief.
Unsustainable.

This is one of the top agencies in the country for glamour models

. . . I don't think there is too much call for art models from agencies however

Other than the SF Bay and DC area art model guilds, I've never heard of anything remotely resembling an agency for art nudes.  Even in NYC, there's nothing (which probably explains why many art schools here pay the same rates they did 15 to 20 years ago).

Art modeling simply doesn't pay well enough to support an agency system.  The highest paying art nude jobs still pay only a fraction of average commercial print assignments.

There is an Artist Model's Guild in PDX.  There are others around the country.  Look around on the net and also check any artist groups, art school in your area.

Also a website geared toward artistic nudes

This. I know of a few cities that have guilds for figure models, but I don't know of any agencies.

I know that agencies exist for nude work, but its my understanding that the work is all glamour focused rather than art, and definitely more "adult."

Hey, I've just checked figuremodels... Is anyone of you there? What impression do you have from it?

I'm pretty sure that is solely a site not an agency?

Oh, I see. But maybe it's helpful to find work as a nude model...

Insurance, insurance, insurance. In todays litigious society you need to cover yourself from law suits. You might be sued because a model didn't show up, or because she wasn't exactly what the client expected, because the model tripped and knocked over a expensive (light, camera, monitor) whatever.
The model might sue you because the client came on to her, the shoot was too hot/cold, she slipped and fell, etc.
Think this is too much, check out all the crazy lawsuits filed in the US every day. Since you are a "business" people will go after you because they assume you have money. Yes, you might win the lawsuit, but how much would is cost in legal fees to defend yourself.
