I think she was embarrassed at her fashion blunder. Haha! Yeah, I've worn skirts that are too short. But only to places like gay clubs really. Anything goes there, and there's not really anywhere to sit. I just cross my legs if I'm worried.

In fact, I noticed that if I try on a skirt and it hits above the knee, I feel sort of naked. ...and this is why men's kilts typically hit just above the kneecap. Any shorter, and your baws hang out when you sit down. First-time kilt wearers have to learn the "smooth-and-tuck" when they sit, as well as figuring out what the sporran is really for...

The terminology in this thread leads me to believe there are a few less obvious issues at play here.

Women can't possibly be oblivious that they're wearing revealing clothing. The weekend receptionist at the nursing home my mother is in always seems to wear blouses with low necklines. She is behind a desk that is about 4' high with the sign-in book on it. People who sign in are looking down at her cleavage. Her grin when she catches someone looking tells me she knows she is putting on a show. I think in many cases of "accidental" exposure that there is some degree of exhibitionism involved.
