Hi All, Hope you are keeping very well and are enjoying a lovely day! Do those Models who shoot ''ADULT'' type work get good financial renumeration and plenty of work, with the ''promise'' of a glittering future , whilst being made a ''star'', or is it simply ''reasonable'' pay but very limited opportunities with a short career and over exposure? Kindest of Regards xxxx Kenya

It is not permitted to solicit for adult work on MM and anybody who does so will have their account removed, so I don't suppose you will get many replies to this thread. Just my $0.02 Ciao Stefano www.stefanobrunesci.com

I concur with Stefano. It is better to discuss Adult markets, modeling and pay rate issues in adult forums. There are zillions of them on the Internet and can be found in 3 seconds with a google search. Contact photographers through their web sites instead of MM framework, if their web site leans towards the adult genre. My 2 cents as well

I don't know, but I would guess... ... Like anything else, some do & some don't. ... Depends on the local supply & demand. ... Most of that market is in California, I think. ... Many try, some are successful, but most of the successful ones aren't successful for long. Why don't you ask the so-called "adult" models on MM and/or on other sites?

If someone is "promising" you that they'll make you a "star" by offering you "adult" work, I would imagine it's a lie.

I work with a lot of MM models that do 'adult work'. Most make a decent living, some do even better. Some of the beginning models that specialize in shooting explicit photos for GWC's make between 2k and 3k per month. They book 3 or 4 shoots a week. Models that are more established and work for internet or video companies can do double that. Some have day rates of $88 - $1,800 per day depending upon what they are booked to do. These are numbers that I have observed amongst models that I have known for extended periods of time and are not just a fluke month here or there. KM

Hi Stefano, I was not soliciting for work in anyway and am not on any other forums. It is just I get many emails, for some reason, telling me a ''fortune'' awaits if I were a Model who walked that path. I was simply curious if those Models / Photographers that are involved in that level of work, are glad they chose that path or if they had regrets. Getting into a very slippery slope here.... If you ask a 60 y.o. mid-west housewife from Iowa what is " adult " she might say a simple nipple showing ! Ask a 20 year old in Venice Beach CA and the answer can be vastly different :-) In NYC you can get a $ 50 burger, in SoCal $ 3.50 gets you a nice juicy In 'n Out Burger - values vary vastly depending on market !

KM +1 You're not going to get a down payment on a house doing one video (unless you meet someone who wants you specifically and is willing to pay for it), but it's good money if you treat it like a job where you have to work often to get good benefits. I'm not in the adult business, but I used to be a dancer and I know plenty of girls who were. (I fully support it!)

There are probably some that make more in a year than any ten of us posting now, but I'm sure the VAST majority are simply used a few times, realize it isn't worth it, and then go back to a normal job with some skeletons in their closet that might haunt them later. Not saying adult work is wrong or anything, but I should think it would be one of those things that should be thought about from angles, including how you'll feel about your kids finding out about it.

Hello! So here is my two cents and that is probably all its worth I would have to say that it does depend upon what you think "adult" work is. I personally think that the human form is gorgeous and being nude is beautiful. I have also done implied erotic shoots and definetly had to draw my boundaries very quickly with what I think is ok and what is not. Anyone can do a hustler style, penetration shoot.... I personally do not think thats a good style for me. I wouldn't feel liberated and free if I did that as I do in my nudes. Thats what it is all about for me. Accepting me for me, and loving it

Kindest of Regards xxxx Kenya I don't work in the Adult Business but, the answers to your questions are fairly straight forward: 1). Name me (in 10 sends or less) five female Hollywood movie stars who have appeared in a movie in the last two years. 2) do the same thing with male movie stars. 3) now, do the same thing with TV actors and actresses. 4) now do that with female porn stars 5) now male porn stars. How many male porn stars could you name? Female? How does that compare with Hollywood or tv stars? As to money, you likely already have your answer above.

However to find adult work you should be looking on adult model sites. I myself do not know of any, but they are out there. I have never liked the people who promise big things. Everything from digital video equipment to website hosting fees to ecommerce fees is so cheap these days...made it really easy to oversaturate that market, real fast My advice, not that you asked for it, is to consider your reasonable potential worth in terms of a traditional career that interests you. Now...take that, and compare it to some reasonable numbers that people in the know are reporting (here...elsewhere). I think you'll see that the rewards are not worth the risk. I would say that, unless you absolutely want to pursue this as a passion you put your whole self into, don't bother. If you want to market yourself 24-7 and be a veritable porn star, then GO FOR IT

Hi, Firstly, I have not written that I am looking to do it, secondly I do not see why there should be such prejudice on my Modelling name, it is a name nothing more and nothing less! There are people on here with the name Kenya and they may never have been there, should that stop them using that name? I hope my name is memorable, that is all. I guess the lead singer of the pop group The Police, was never a Bee, but his name "Sting" certainly made it memorable. I just asked a question out of curiosity to other people's views or experience. The math geek in me can't help but tear into those numbers... Lower Bound: 2000 per month / 4.3 weeks per month / 4 shoots per week = $116.28 per shoot Upper Bound: 3000 per month / 4.3 weeks per month / 3 shoots per week = $232.56 per shoot So, rounding up... shoot rates are $125 - $250 for beginners, $250 - $500 for more experienced performers. Fascinating.

Compared to their day jobs at Starbucks, that is amazing money to them. They don't realize they are actually getting ripped off by people who want to exploit their ignorance of the industry. Unfortunately, this kind of thing over-saturates the market for erotic models, and people do not want to pay $500+ to a 25- or 30-year-old experienced model with a knowledge of that industry, when they can get an explicit scene with a barely legal girl for $100.
