Just a note to everyone that I will no longer be moderating this contest. I loved it dearly, and it meant the world to me. It was an honor, and I tried to be as fair and even-handed as possible. I wanted nothing more than to be the host for many years to come. However, a recent decision was made that I didn't agree with, and I chose to step down. I'm sorry. Best of luck to everyone - I will drop by to enter from time to time, and say hi. I consider most, if not all, of the 'regulars' to be my friends. It makes me sad to have to make this choice. Good luck to all in the future. David

David David, While you might have had to set me straight on occasion and I might have had questions for you from time to time I for one thought you did an outstanding job and hate to see you go. You were always fair and consistent across the board. I can't say the same for some of the other moderators. You have my respect and again, I for one hate to see you go. Tony Aldridge

Who the heck is trying to change what already works perfectly? I've never understood how people like that's minds work... Oh look guys, this thing works so let's change it. It's an easy guess that it's someone who doesn't play in this contest. That's how we were fortunate enough to get you in the first place David, saving the contest from the "moderators who took a vote and didn't want to keep the contest" Not a single one of those moderators played and didn't give a crap about those of us who did. Oh well, thanks for what you've done David, sorry to see you go. To those that are jacking with us trying to change things.... please get lost.

David David, you did an excellent job as moderator for the Original POTD contest, always fair, straight up, and obviously one who's work we all admire. The politics involved in being a moderator and the devotion of time are far beyond the comprehension of most....keep up the good work and BEST wishes

Actually, I don't see why David has to step down, he's the current admin and I for one see no reason to change, and I also understand that we have burnouts on the daily due to it very nature, the stress levels are very high. If David can see his way past the interference, which we're all having to endure, I would encourage him to continue in the position until we can assist in finding a transition and bringing them up to speed on this. We have a few candidates who wish to be more involved, we just need more time to prep our assistants,,,,, Can we get more time, please..... B.

Instead of having one person to moderate this section (which is a lot on a daily basis), I suggest to have multiple people (up to 7 persons) in charge of this. Each person only responsible/obligate for just one day out of a week. And if that person can't handle on his/her particular day, we can easily find one from the remaining 6 to fill in even with a short notice. That can go with the site's contest as well. See Jo-jo, you might not have to do this 7 days a week anymore. Am I smart of what?
