Like other young models you tend to post variations of the same image. An example is the image below. Get rid of it. Please note there is nothing wrong with it, it's just that it does not add value to your as you posted a similar image already. Your backgrounds are clean, lighting is great and so is the editing. My problem is going past the first row as your images start to look the same. Same gray background, a set of programmed poses, and beautiful faces. I think one purpose for a port is to show some variety. Dust off your old folders and find outdoor images, colorful images and images that offer some unique concept. I am sure you have some, just bring them out. Best wishes. Unfortunately it seems like you have not followed my guidelines. While you seem a very talented and creative photographer, the organization of your port sucks. You seem to break almost all the rules I list on page 1 of this thread. Jun 06 14 03:41 pm Link I'm due for a port redux and would appreciate your thoughts. Jun 08 14 07:04 pm Link Natural Means wrote: While your port is relatively compact, it still needs drastic reduction to bring its level up. A good start for you is to show only one image of any particular model as I spell in rule [1] to avoid variants. I will not tell you which to remove, you pick the one you think the very best one of each model. If you don't have the heart to delete an image, you can just hide it with the ability to restore it and all it's comments at a future date. Once you do that you are welcome back here and then I will take a second look. Each portion of the picture is exposed and worked on separately. You give a helpful opinion on natural light direction. Most pictures in my gallery are light painted with various flashlights from very bright to very dim and also from soft to hard. I have about a dozen flashlights in rotation for different things. Those shadows on the wall were intentionally put there and they are their own exposures. Now just because it is intentional doesn't necessarily mean that it's working or not. Most of my pictures are "impossible light". My hope is that it adds to the otherworldliness to the picture but on the other hand it can end up a cacophony and a bit of a mess. After spending hours in Photoshop on an image it is easy to lose objectivity. Jun 11 14 08:11 am Link I'd like to know what you think. Thanks in advance. It is quite impressive all the work you put into your art and the results show its worth the effort. You are an artist who creates an image rather than just someone who simply captures pictures (GWC). Light painting technique is something I want to try.
