Hello Phan,
I think you have done a great job building your port which is pretty diverse. Your poses and expressions are great. If you are trying to free some space because you reached your quota, I propose you invest in your hobby/profession and upgrade your membership. But if you upgrade, please don't go crazy and upload 200 images. An ideal port size for in my opinion is 30-50 images.

There are a couple of images that I recommend you delete

This one is a variant - the other is much stronger. Like
https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/140530/18/53892eb6b317d_m.jpg.

Get rid of this one as well. It is a composite, which I think  in general is a detriment - rule [3]. While some images there are good, several have contrived expression. Remember, like your port, a collage will be judged by the weakest image, not the strongest.
https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/140528/23/5386d222a84c4_m.jpg

My favorite is this one. Awesome makeup, expression and great photography.

Hi Elyse, my compliments on a nice work you have done with your port. Can it be improved? Yes and the formula is in my guidelines on page 1. Like other young models you tend to post variations of the same image.  An example is the image below. Get rid of it. Please note there is nothing wrong with it, it's just that it does not add value to your as you posted a similar image already. Rule [1]
https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/140318/22/53292dd6b8b4f_m.jpg
And here is another example.  You posted at least 4 images of the white dress. You should get rid of 3 and it's your choice which to delete as they are all good.
https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/130219/21/512459d483ee2_m.jpg
I recommend you also can this image as your expression is weak and your pose is contrived.

Hi Jonathan, a quick glance at your first row of images is sufficient to say you are a competent photographer. Your backgrounds are clean, lighting is great and so is the editing. My problem is going past the first row as your images start to look the same.  Same gray background, a set of programmed poses, and beautiful faces. I think one purpose for a port is to show some variety. Dust off your old folders and find outdoor images, colorful images and images that offer some unique concept. I am sure you have some, just bring them out. Best wishes.

Welcome back Jorge ! Unfortunately it seems like you have not followed my guidelines. While you seem a very talented and creative photographer, the organization of your port sucks. You seem to break almost all the rules I list  on page 1 of this thread.

Rule [1] AVOID VARIANT IMAGES
Here is just one example of many images that you should delete. Its just a variant of a similar image- same model, same dress and setting with perhaps a different pose. While this particular image got viewed 331 times - it got no comments. Take a hint - Rule [4] LISTEN TO YOUR AUDIENCE.
https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/130218/21/51230c2bc11f8_m.jpg

Another example is a set of images which may show different models but the same style. Delete 90% of these as otherwise people will get bored quickly.
https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/140109/20/52cf7af283c96_m.jpg

You should keep deleting until you have only 40-50 images posted. Believe me your port will get much stronger, you will start getting better view to comments ratios - a metric I devised and described in Rule [4]. Check out the view to comment ratios in my port - I think you can achieve the same

I do love your AVI - its is so memorable that I instantly recognized you since you first visited here - you were the first person to inquire when I started this thread two years ago.

Another favorite is this one for its pose, style, wardrobe and beauty
https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/140428/09/535e7cb1c6392_m.jpg

Its time you start deleting drastically. Good luck and you are welcome to come back for a second look.

While your port is relatively compact, it still needs drastic reduction to bring its level up. A good start for you is to show only one image of any particular model as I spell in rule [1] to avoid variants. I will not tell you which to remove, you pick the one you think the very best one of each model. If you don't have the heart to delete an image, you can just hide it with the ability to restore it and all it's comments at a future date. Once you do that you are welcome back here and then I will take a second look. Best of luck

I propose deleting this picture of Kara as her expression is weak. No unique concept, just a pretty girl posing for the camera.

Also delete this one as I see no value in it. His expression is weak, and the photography is marginal.

I would remove two images
Woman on filing cabinet and needles and cigarettes as you can clearly see the shadow of your lighting source. While this is acceptable in a studio environment, even expected, not so in natural setting. I would like to imagine the light source is natural, even though it is not.

Thanks so much Ikonas. Some interesting thoughts there. Needles and cigarettes is a composite of 27 images. Each portion of the picture is exposed and worked on separately. You give a helpful opinion on natural light direction. Most pictures in my gallery are light painted with various flashlights from very bright to very dim and also from soft to hard. I have about a dozen flashlights in rotation for different things. Those shadows on the wall were intentionally put there and they are their own exposures. Now just because it is intentional doesn't necessarily mean that it's working or not. Most of my pictures are "impossible light". My hope is that it adds to the otherworldliness to the picture but on the other hand it can end up a cacophony and a bit of a mess. After spending hours in Photoshop on an image it is easy to lose objectivity.

Again...thanks for the review...very helpful.

Thanks for elaborating on the method of creating your images. It is quite impressive all the work you put into your art and the results show its worth the effort. You are an artist who creates an image rather than just someone who simply captures pictures (GWC). Light painting technique is something I want to try.

Greetings Alexa,

I love your port as your concepts are unique, well executed and your images are very captivating. I consider your port to be in the "goldilock zone" - not too big and not too little smile I recall commenting on some of your work in the past.

I do recommend deleting several variant images as is  spelled out in the guidelines I posted on page 1.

You should delete this image as the two next to it are similar. While it is a captivating image,  it is a variant, and in my view variant images, no matter how good, drag one's port down.
https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/140528/21/5386b38c19ac0_m.jpg

My favorite is this one for the great POV, tonality and her captivating expression.
https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/140513/14/53728e3fb360e_m.jpg

Your before and after image series is a great showcase of your retouching art. Here is one example.
https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/140519/15/537a827e8a6e2_m.jpg

Finally, I would like to commend you on the excellent "view-to-comment ratios" you been getting on your images - a metric I define in rule [4] which in my view is the ultimate measure of image quality.

Its great to see you here Amanda smile I see some spectacular images in your port. Can it be improved? Sure, just follow my rules I posted on Page 1 of this forum. The number#1 thing I advise to my readers is deleting (or hiding) variant images - Rule [1] and you have several of these.

Keep only one of the Swimwear Plus images. While they are all good, they are too similar. You pick which one to keep.

Delete this image. There is no unique concept to sustain this image
https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/140613/06/539afd41e693a_m.jpg

Delete this one. While Prize Portraits is a good photographer, the lighting is wrong and your expression is weak - Rule [2]
https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/140609/22/5396938577a7f_m.jpg
https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/140605/19/53912c27a4972_m.jpg

You posted too many images by Ikonas. While they are great photos, there are just too many - again Rule [1]. I recommend keeping only three -  keep your current AVI, and select a couple more to keep.

Delete all Twisted Images. You are just posing unnaturally and these images do not do justice to your beauty. Here is one of the several I recommend to delete.
https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/140531/17/538a7582ddc5c_m.jpg

Delete this one as well as your expression is poor, plus there is a variant.
https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/140530/20/5389519949abd_m.jpg

You should delete (or hide) other images until you have only 15-20 or so left which would be the right size for a port of a model who, like you, is just starting out.

My favorite is your AVI, shot by Ikonas - yours truly smile
https://photos.modelmayhem.com/photos/140613/15/539b7a163cb80_m.jpg

This one for your beauty and great light
