Missing Model! Kara Nichols U know where she is?
I'm surprised that no one has started a thread on Kara Nichols, a missing model from the Colorado area ... she has a profile on Modelmayhem. https://www.modelmayhem.com/2629622 Her family and friends are looking for her as she has been missing for about a month! http://www.thedenverchannel.com/news/lo … r-for-work http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/11/1 … 38836.html http://www.examiner.com/article/kara-ni … do-springs There is plenty of media on this, although I wonder why it took a month for me to learn about it. Modelmayhem is mentioned in nearly every article on her, so I figure it's worth posting this in the forum here. Kara is 19 years old, and allegedly left Colorado Springs for a modeling job in Denver. She never arrived. If anyone knows where she might be or has seen her, you are urged to contact the police Detective Cliff Porter at 719-520-7227. Nov 16 12 02:00 am Link A month is too long to be missing... i hope they find her soon, to put the matter to rest for family and friends. Nov 16 12 02:33 am Link Thoughts and prayers to her family Nov 16 12 03:37 am Link Did anyone ask the photographer? Nov 16 12 09:26 am Link hope she i s found soon and answers discovered ! Nov 16 12 09:28 am Link I'm praying for a miracle. Nov 16 12 10:02 am Link Read the comments on the Huff link. "Everyone knows a lingerie model is just a cover for prostitution" Idiots... But all we can do is try to educate those who are ignorant. If they continue to be ignorant, that's their choice. Nov 16 12 02:13 pm Link Sad. Hope she's alright. Keeping my eyes and ears open. Nov 16 12 03:42 pm Link well then how come my lingerie llamas aren't offering me anything extra? sheesh. Small Fruit Pits wrote: Nov 16 12 03:48 pm Link that's sad. Who else would have authoritatively determined that for them? Nov 17 12 06:16 am Link "Beautiful Distractions" is a joke of an agency. I tried it for a couple months when I first started modeling, and it's nothing but sketchy. I've heard numerous complaints from other models in it, local photographers, etc. Pretty much J Anthony finds random girls, tells them he'll get them amazing work (even though he doesn't have connections), get money out of them, then shoot them in lingerie or nude. Their "events" are even more of a joke too. I feel bad for this girl, but I honestly can't say I'm surprised it's linked to Beautiful Distractions. But your post is interesting. I certainly hope nothing criminal happened to her, but knowing that an agency is sketchy with complaints might be important later on in an investigation ... if there is one. I am not sure why they would mention Modelmayhem much since it looks like she had not been on it for two months prior to her dissapearance. Nov 21 12 07:15 pm Link I am praying for her safe return Nov 21 12 07:26 pm Link Police in Colorado investigating the disappearance of 19-year-old aspiring model Kara Nichols are now looking for two women who were last seen with Nichols before she vanished. http://abcnews.go.com/US/kara-nichols-p … K2cdYawXe4 "Even if this young lady has no information, just the simple fact that she could tell us how they parted, what her parting words were, could be huge," El Paso County Sheriff's Detective Cliff Porter said. Police are also seeking a second woman, also with brown hair, who they said associated with Nichols. They're not sure about the nature and frequency of their contact but said they believe that someone who has knowledge of the modeling world could have information about Nichols, or the two women. Nov 21 12 07:32 pm Link If they would supply decent photos of these 'brunettes' someone could Tineye.com or Google image search them and try to ID them. edit: Here they are http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article … ds-newsxml I saw nothing from Google on this one. Or Tineye. Nothing on this one, either. If it is a significant crop from a larger image that could throw off the search algorithm. The one thing that no one on MM wants to believe is real could have actually happened! Maybe models will finally get smart and photogs will stop making them feel like crap for wanting to be safe! I hope they find her soon and alive I pray for her family. Today is Thanksgiving and I am sure it will be hard to enjoy with all of this going on and the absence of their daughter. =[ Nov 22 12 07:00 am Link Lisa Andresen wrote: Nov 22 12 07:01 am Link I'm not even touching that 'logical' gem.
