Best outdoor portraits using speedlights

Shot at around 6AM, ISO 800, 1/500, f/4, 84mm. Canon 5d Mk2 w/EF 24-105 f/4L Single speedlite mounted in the hot shoe  Shot at around 6PM. ISO 200, 1/25, f/4, 65mm. Canon 5D Mk2 w/EF 24-105 f/4L. Usually an SB700 on hotshoe as CLS controller and to provide catch lights and a small amount of shadow fill (1.5-2 stops down from main light). One or two remote CLS SB900s. This one had SB700 on camera with SB900 into reflective umbrella close to the models right side:  SB700 on camera, SB900 into small soft box close to model on her right, SB900 with blue gell near ground behind model on her left:  SB700 on camera, with SB900 with snoot on models left:  Nov 30 12 07:42 am Link Karl Johnston wrote: Very nice, Karl. Off camera flash behind me triggered assistants flash at the bottom of the stairs. My camera on tripod... don't remember exposure time and settings, but it was already night.
