Who makes or sells the best makeup case?
I want to purchase one for a model who does only her own makeup. My budget is $200. Thanks. Dec 05 12 08:31 pm Link Thats awfully nice of ya If its just for one person it dosnt need to be a huge one or the top of the line like a zuca or glamcor try searching for a yazmo case I think thats how theyre spelled lol it was the first case I got when I started out and it was a trooper Dec 05 12 11:12 pm Link Casey-Cooper wrote: Thanks so much for the lead. Dec 05 12 11:48 pm Link Agreed, Yazmo has some pretty good, affordable cases. I have this one from them actually. It doesn't look like it from the photograph they provide, but you can fit a ton of makeup/supplies inside, and it's very sturdy and easy to tote around at shoots. I can only imagine the rest of their cases are similar. Dec 06 12 04:00 am Link Yazmo has a bad rep for cases falling apart. A better choice would be something from stilazzi. http://stilazzi.com/index.aspx Dec 06 12 07:23 am Link About Faces-Lynn wrote: My Yazmo (stacked rolling case) couldn't handle the wear and tear of being lugged down city streets and getting on/off trains. The cheap metal lining on the outside of the bottom fell off in the middle of rolling it down the street. Before that happened, the lining had began to unattach. The top part of the case never lined up right with bottom making it difficult to secure them together. Dec 06 12 07:42 am Link Check some DIY stores, I bough my basic aluminium toolbox in B&Q for 30 pound 4 year ago...and still is perfect! If You have some beauty/nail/make-up trade show near you - is good to buy it there, many have free entry if ticket is booked online. I just bought my new one bit bigger just for 20 pound! https://fbcdn-sphotos-d-a.akamaihd.net/ … 0126_n.jpg In my opinion many on-line stores are selling the same product - just the price gets different... Dec 06 12 10:43 am Link Agreed about the Yazmo. Wish I hadn't wasted my money. Dec 06 12 10:49 am Link I agree about the DIY cases, my brushes travel in a briefcase type one I bought like 10 yrs ago and that sucker has been um well traveled? It's been a good little case, all of my extension supplies are in another one that's been equally good to me. My MUA kit is all in a semi hard side suitcase I refuse to retire until it goes hoofs up and then I'll buy a Zuca I think but this suitcase is still going after 8 yrs lol I wish my personal luggage had been as sturdy! Poor AJT got stuck fighting my big one thru NYC a couple of years ago! The stuff I want to last never seems to hold up as well and the random stuff I buy to 'get me by' won't seem to give up lol Take care to choose something to fit her usage! Many of today's good deals don't hold up to public transit use and some items are crazy too heavy to tote up a flight of stairs! Maybe look into picking up a good Pullman size lightweight suitcase for her at TJ Max and some clear small organizers from Zuca, Crown Brush or the equivalent so she's only got one thing to transport that's manageable and not cumbersome! Dec 06 12 03:42 pm Link I never had any of those issues with my old one from yazmo hmmmm Right now I actually work out of multiple HUSKY tool cases absolutely brilliant these cases are they are a briefcase set up with interchangeable spaces absolutely love this I have multiple ones for different types of work I do Dec 06 12 04:12 pm Link Dec 06 12 07:01 pm Link ohh i just got an new case with is amazing! the UDG its made for dj´s but the bag is the best i´ve ever had!! http://www.udggear.com/shop/product.asp … D8&pid=287 Dec 08 12 02:53 am Link I bought a case from Yazmo.com it broke with in a month, the wheels busted right off.. sent back (on my dime) they sent me a new one, it also broke, the design of the wheels suck, far to small for the size of their cases... Zuca.... this baby has gotten me all over on public transit, never had an issue with my lovely zuca.. she is now wearing out.. and I need to replace her, but 6years is a pretty awesome run I think. I have also bought some "not make-up kits" one of a $16.00 fire proof file box, its PERFECT for smaller gigs like bridal when I dont need to bring the whole kitten caboodle. Also Fat max and other "tool" boxes can work really well too, they are made our of durable lightweight plastics and are made to take a beating so if your on a budget you can get some real bang for your buck Dec 09 12 11:43 am Link MP Make-up Artistry wrote: I forgot to mention that! My wheels also broke. They jammed up into the bottom part of the case. Dec 09 12 02:56 pm Link Do you feel like you can fit a lot of makeup in this bag? I love the size of yazmo but since the quality sucks I don't want to purchase it. How do you feel the sizes compare to each other? My case from them has been nothing but fantastic, and I've been using it for almost two years. Dec 14 12 06:24 am Link Ive had two zuca both have fallen apart. I am now onto a Samsonite rolling case. Its AMAZING. Its more expensive but it lasts. Only thing about Zuca that I love is that you can sit on it. Dec 14 12 04:09 pm Link |
