you should be! these last four weeks will be exciting in the nfc east.
rg3 is going to get killed though, if they don't figure out how to get out of that option thing.
the rookie of the year race this year is incredible, with the top three contenders all being QBs. right now, i'd have to say luck would win, but either rg3 or wilson have made very strong cases too.
if the skins end up winning the east, griffin will get it.
and tonight's game? zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
bite me..it was like watching the giants play against squirrels....
Still sick to my stomach over that game
sad thing is that self inflicted penalties were the reason the Giants lost,Skins couldn't stop them, and they held the Skins to 17 points....

yeah, that last holding penalty pretty much did them in.

yep..they had the ball on the Skins 43 with 4 minutes to go,were pretty much on their way for more Eli magic..
it was like that all night
their TD drive I think was a net 132 yards including making up lost yards due to penalties
and the screwed up thing is that Beatty did not have to hold on that play, the DE stopped then was grabbed, and it was blatant..
Must have borrowed some plays from the Cowboys playbook(holding number 65,false start number 73)
Knicks (playing w/o Melo) are up 10 against the Heat late in the 3rd. Figured that the raiders would roll over for the game anyway. Their season is over.

The only thing exciting about the Raiders this week was a report in Pro Football Weekly that the Raiders were in negotiations with Jon Gruden to return as HC. As much as I hate the Raider revolving door at HC, IMO it needs one more turn: Gruden.
But, alas, the team "vehemently" denied the report.
Shit. The race to stockpile the next two or three #1 draft picks is on.
Maybe it was the strippers in the locker room that did it?
For this Raider squad, giving the players access to strippers in the locker room would be like giving a dog a Humvee to chase. If the dog ever caught the Humvee, it wouldn't know what to do with it.

That reminds me of my Phy Ed teacher in high school. He told me I would need a Boy Scout hand book to know what to do with a girl. The following day I brought one in. Till this day the dam book never helped. LOL

I suppose Wildcat got busy with something else and hasn't posted his weekly picks yet.
LOL! True.
I am consistently...well, inconsistent...
Got wrapped up in a pointless discussion in the soapbox with a couple of very closed and illogical minds (being very courteous here...giving them the benefit of doubt they have a mind with synapses working correctly...LOL!). Is the the post that starts with "Bob Costas.."
Anyways...finally here are my picks.
I would have picked Den > Oak...but that is moot.
Stl > Buf
Atl > Car
Dal > Cin (really could go either way, but Cin losing would help my Pitt)
KC > Cle (really a toss up)
Ind > Ten
Jac > NYJ (Jac has to won one sometimes and NYJ are a mess right now)
Min > Chi (Adrian Peterson's effort has to make a win sometime - I respect him!)
Pit > SD (I hope Batch starts...in previous years...they have rushed Ben back after an injury too quick...and the results were a big fat "L")
TB > Phi
Was > Bal (Pitt needs this and I think the Ravens are weakening)
SF > Mia
NO > NYG (NYG going the wrong direction)
Sea > Ari
GB > Det
Hou > NE (NE is not invincible)
All the local sports wonks are confident that the Vikings have a chance to beat the Bears on Sunday. I'm not drinking the purple Kool Aid. I don't care if Urlacher and Jennings are out. The Vikings' passing attack still sucks, and the coaching staff isn't smart enough to game plan a win around the NFL's leading rusher. 27-18 Bears.

It wouldn't matter. Tony Dungy hasn't been there for six years building a team for Gruden to win with.
without him coaching it. it was a perfect storm. without gannon (and who knew what he'd become at the end of his career?) it wouldn't have happened.
The fact that it got to the Super Bowl without Gruden coaching it speaks to the effectiveness of the machine he built. Both the strength and weakness of the machine, though, was Gannon's arm. That, and the fact that Bill Callahan had the team on cruise control. Didn't alter a thing about the offense even though Gruden knew Gannon better than Callahan did.
Nope. Just as Gruden wouldn't get a ring if Callahan had won.
But there's a strange little double-standard in this thread. Dungy gets credit for building the team Gruden won it all with, but Gruden gets dismissed for what he did with the Raiders because he wasn't at the helm when the squad he built got to the SB with virtually no changes.

Give credit where credit's due.
i don't discredit gruden for winning in tb. i just don't think he was that great a coach in general. yes, he turned the raiders into contenders, but he was constantly mismanaging clocks at the end of crucial games (something that has become ubiquitous in the nfl in subsequent years...but that's another thread).
i doubt he'd want to coach the raiders again anyway. at least not until they get better talent.

Every time the last few years they did not...the Steelers lost.
THANK YOU!!!!!
Tomlin drives me nuts with this stuff and Ben. Last year it was against the 49ers and in 2009 it was against the Raiders, both games lost due to bringing Ben back too soon. Hell if we can beat the Ravens ON THE ROAD with Batch we can certainly beat San Diego at home with him. Rest Ben another week and get ready for the stretch run with him fully healthy!
