Do you have any red flags in your profile that would give me second thoughts about working with you? I'll read your profile text and let you know.

I will not be reviewing or commenting on your portfolio images. This is strictly about the profile text.

This is mostly intended for models. I suppose photographers can post here too if they want, but I probably won't have anything useful to say, since I do not generally work with other photographers and I do not have experience in evaluating photographer profiles.

Your profile text is professionally written and there are no red flags. You say you are "100% drama free" and based on the tone of your profile I can believe that. smile

I also appreciate your honesty and detail in describing your scars and piercings. I wish all models would do that -- body modifications may or may not be a problem depending on where exactly they are located, so it is always helpful to see a detailed description from those models who have them.

Pretty much everything I said to the last model applies to you as well -- professionally written, drama free, no red flags. Once again I appreciate the detailed description of your tattoos and current hair style. The list of genres you are willing to do is also helpful.

Another professionally written profile with no red flags. The tone of your writing makes you sound fun and drama-free. I also appreciate the unedited photo -- that is always helpful, although a more "neutral" facial expression would be good.

Since there is hardly anything written in your profile at all, I am not sure how to evaluate it, although there is certainly nothing wrong with keeping it succinct. smile

One thing I will say: If I am considering working with you, and you post a link to a YouTube channel on your profile, I am definitely going to check it out and watch some of your videos, hopefully to get a sense of your personality.

You sound like a friendly person and that you have realistic expectations about modeling. That is good.

The only thing about your profile that is slightly red-flaggish is where it says "Ask for my Do Not Recommend list" in your credits section. While it is not against MM rules, most people here consider "do not recommend" lists to be kind of petty. If you are going to put anything in your credits at all, I would prefer to see a list of the good photographers you have worked with, rather than the ones you do not recommend.

Thank you. I've been thinking of removing that part.I can understand how it would seem petty as I'm sure most would assume it's due to not getting images in a timely manner or not getting them at all. It's not at all. As I'm glad that my profile comes across as friendly and realistic , I will remove it . Thank you again .

I understand, but even if it was something more serious, it is still a "he said, she said" situation that only serves to add a note of negativity to your profile text. If someone contacts you privately for a reference on a photographer, by all means tell them you do not recommend him. I just don't think it is helpful on a public profile.

OP, this is a cool theme for a critique. I wonder how many red flag-worthy people will bother to ask, as it seems like most of them have a very defiant attitude.

As I mentioned in the OP, I don't normally spend much time reviewing photographer profiles, and I probably do not see them from the same perspective as a model would. That being said, I don't see anything wrong with your profile text.

It looks like you recently removed most of your profile text, so there is not much left to evaluate. The only thing I don't like is when there are large images in the profile that force me to scroll down to finish reading the rest of the text. In particular, I would think that your scheduling information should be near the top of your profile where people are more likely to see it. Not a red flag, just a pet peeve.

Yes, I thought about that. So far all of the participants are doing really well. On the other hand some of the "defiant" types are completely oblivious to the fact that they have red flags and will argue when you try to point it out, so we may yet hear from them. wink

Concerning your profile text (assuming you wanted me to review it), the only thing that jumps out as being a little negative is where you say, "Please don't ask to bring an escort, as it won't do anything to improve the shoot. We're adults." I feel the same way about that as I do about models who write "I will always bring an escort, no exceptions" -- it is just not helpful to put it on the profile. I do not generally allow escorts either, but I work that out in private during the pre-shoot communication when and if the model brings it up.

No red flags here, you definitely come across as professional. It is probably a good idea that you mentioned your moving complications, so people know why you are taking a little longer than usual to respond to messages.

Okay, one small thing, since I mentioned before that I always click on YouTube links: You do not appear in that music video until well past the one-minute mark. Unless you give me a better explanation than "Look! Look! Look!" I am going to click away from the video long before that. Something simple like, "I'm in this video, my first appearance is around the 1:30 mark" would be helpful. Yes, that is a very petty peeve. smile

I wasn't asking for it, but I don't mind that you took time to comment. smile

You're probably right about the escort part. I tried to keep the tone friendly, but it's probably best to discuss that when planning a shoot. Thanks for the feedback. smile

I'm interested to know what you think.  I try to be specific in my profile, but I also want to make sure that potential clients know that I'm easy going to work with.  Would love to hear what an outside perspective sees.

There is nothing wrong with your profile text, but it is not very useful either. It is a typical newbie profile -- lots of enthusiasm (which is good!) but little direction. What are your goals in modeling? Which genres interest you the most? Are you open to shooting TF? If someone wanted to book you, what days/times are you available?

You say you have worked with many "accredited photographers." I have no idea what that means. If any of the photographers you have worked with are on MM, get their MM numbers and list them in your Credits section.

I don't know how much of a market there is for models in Kentucky, but I am guessing it is not very large. You say you were "born to travel", but have you made any specific plans to visit other cities? You cannot sit back and wait for photographers to buy you plane tickets. You will need to make it happen yourself. I realize you are in school right now, but maybe you can plan a trip over the summer.

I hope this critique does not sound overly negative. You are very beautiful, and if you were in my area I would probably take a chance on you, even though your profile text is only giving me a vague idea of who you are. I wish you much success in modeling! smile

Your profile has one of my pet peeves -- huge images at the top that force me to scroll way down to read the text. Once I got down there, though, I did not spot any red flags. It all sounds professional to me.

Well, reading it from the perspective of a photographer, this is kind of a red flag: "I give models all the high resolution pictures on CD's." This has been discussed on the forum many times, and most photographers here would tell you that's crazy and you shouldn't do it. I am sure the models love it, though.

The two things giving your profile credibility are your longevity (you have been a member since August 2007), and your long list of model credits which includes some names I recognize. Obviously whatever you are doing is working for you, so who am I to question it? smile

There are no red flags in your profile, certainly nothing that makes you sound like a diva or difficult to work with, but it is very long -- maybe a little too long. The more you write, the less likely people are to read it all. It's good information but it could do with a little editing and tightening up.

Some sections could be moved out of the profile and into the pre-shoot communication, for example the paragraph on your preferred methods of payment. Also I don't think you need to discuss your allergies unless the photographer is actually planning something involving major makeup, in which case that would be the appropriate time to bring it up. A few changes like that, plus editing a superfluous word here and there would help a lot.

But in general, it all sounds very professional. I would not hesitate to contact you about setting up a shoot.
