https://www.modelmayhem.com/portfolio/pic/31479392 What do you think of my latest photo? It is different than all the other photos in my portfolio, so I want to know if it is something I should do more of. (No need to sugar coat your opinion, but please don't be unnecessarily brutal.) Jan 31 13 03:11 pm Link Well, I really like it! I just wish it was in color!! This is just me, but I always find it odd when a model has just 1 or 2 B&W photos in a port of color photos. On a side note, I think you are beautiful (I love your hair color too), and I would paint you in a minute! I love models that twist and turn and can give me contorted poses! Edit: I just went back to your port for another look. I love the 3rd photo on the 3rd row! Again, I wish it was in color! Jan 31 13 03:17 pm Link It is strained and unnatural... but in an interesting way. I would definitely keep it in your portfolio! Speaking of, you might want to remove the pics with the watermark across the middle. Just a thought. BTW, you are gorgeous. Really enjoyed the variety in your porfolio! My two cents, YMMV Daeda1us Jan 31 13 03:26 pm Link More shots like what? Shots that show flexibility but that aren't representative of you as a model? I'm also not getting the concept. You're dressed in some type of ballerina outfit with high tops, on a wet pier, while contorting your body? You have a nice portfolio but I can't think of what that image adds, unless you're trying to garner contortionist projects. Jan 31 13 03:27 pm Link Elise Ann wrote: Wow I love that one, very nice. Apparently, you are a very gifted dancer. My legs already hurt when just looking at the image :-) Try a number of these and keep a few in your portfolio. It makes you also stand out compared to others. Good luck J. PS Different to one of the previous comment, I like it in B&W Jan 31 13 03:36 pm Link Daeda1us wrote: Good point. I'll buy that reasoning to have a single shot that conveys the model's flexibility. Jan 31 13 03:37 pm Link It's offbeat enough to be memorable and that's helpful. It also has some elegance to it. Jan 31 13 03:48 pm Link I'd tend to say, nope, leave it aside - I see more performance than elegance in this image. But Daeda1us made a good point. You already have dance pics in your port, though. Just curious about what makes you keep the Oliver Mansion one. True, I'm heavy on pic processing, but here... Can't see the point. Really, it's more out of candid curiosity than anything else, would just like to understand/learn. I don't think it's bad to have 2 out of 15 dance pics in my port when dance is such a big part of my life. Jan 31 13 05:09 pm Link Flash-Joerg wrote: Thank you for your feedback! (As a random unrelated side note, I see you are from Belgium; my dad is Belgian. Very cool.) Jan 31 13 05:14 pm Link Only if you do it nude (and under my light). I feel like it's really strained and confusing for the wardrobe and setting. by the way, is that a composite? It doesn't really look like you were on that pier for the shot. Jan 31 13 05:19 pm Link yes but with wardrobe that is better/makes more sense Jan 31 13 05:19 pm Link Thanks Elise. And if dance is a passion of yours, obviously I understand. It gives another dimension to your llamaing profile, too. Go for it! Jan 31 13 05:22 pm Link No. Jan 31 13 05:26 pm Link Kelleth wrote: +1 Jan 31 13 05:28 pm Link You should keep trying but that pose does not work for me. Clearly you have the ability you just need to find positions that look less strained. Jan 31 13 05:36 pm Link Well its not such an attractive photo but being able to move like that is a talent. Jan 31 13 05:45 pm Link Good Egg Productions wrote: It wasn't strained, I had to stay like that for 2 minutes during a performance once. Now that was strained. lol Jan 31 13 07:37 pm Link Elise Ann wrote: It's not.
