I just did a swimming pool shoot at a top secret location and I was somewhat surreptitious or totally?

During the shoot the llamas were interrupted by young children who wanted their autograph. It was a little mob that had to be gratified and the light was fading and we were running out of time.  I was concerned that we were getting too much attention.

The female llama is an actress and it was really strange, she can't get into her mm account and it is showing her as deleted.  I made sure to put her name on the title and hopefully the mm error is fixed soon.

Poolside pics and pool pics are uploaded on my supercalifragilicious portfolio. You can see them and spit at them at you want if you think they need more water.

I will critique any swimming pool or poolside images, awarding you one of the following fabulous titles:

Drowning Victim: This shot is a career killer. Hide it in the swimming pool.

You dove into too deep. This photo has highlight issues and you just pushed it a bit far. llama: you were thrown into the deep end on this one. Poor babe.

Wear a lifejacket next time: Maybe the photographer needs to get into the pool and drown the camera. The angle makes this a turkey shoot gone wrong. You had the light, and then you just fell into the water. llamas: you're supposed to angle yourself so you don't look like a drowning turkey. Life is hard.

You look like an angel: photographer: you made this float really well. llama, angels float and so do you.

This says Magazine. You still like paper, that's why you shot this so well. llama, you're ready to be gossiped about.

If you did a swimming pool shot and would like a  critique, feel free, the awards are stated. I'm not from L.A. or anywhere near, though I live here, and have for some time. I'm actually from paradise or so the inhabitants think, and I am a dual national. Ciao.

Your portfolio was fun to look at and that's a great torso you have there. Why didn't you get the whole enchilada?  You're in the pool, which is awesome. Your torso so good I think you should get "It should be carved in marble" award.

Just shot this 2 weeks ago in a rather pricey hotel room that included an 18' x 11' pool inside the room (no child problems).

You look like an angel: photographer: you made this float really well. Model, angels float and so do you. You look really lovely. I wished for another angle but still a nice shot and those shots are not easy, getting the angle, the pose, the expression.

I like the one where you face the camera. Nice headshot. Neither of the photos really exploits the tonality of the water.  And zee framing of you. But it is your fault. Here is your special award: Why-are-we-in-the-water-award? If you have to grab the photographer and shake him, do so. A swimming pool is a chance to get really interesting photos. It is hard for many to do. You should try again. See the 18  example provided by the Californian llama fiend. It may bring out the devil in you.

I have this one

We came before they opened and they were nice enough to leave the heat on overnight for us. So the pool was 90-something. It was amazing.

The tonality of the water is good. I really like it but the model doesn't really work too well. Skin etc. But I think she puts the effort in, the smile, but as you didn't make me cry with joy I must punish you with an award. Never-forget-about-the-model- award. She needed a little help. As I said, the tonality of the water is good. So you got that part right.

It didn't really sing but it's not bad. I like the arch of you but it didn't quite jell, lighting and so on, and composition, and you did offer a splendid visual of your lovely body so, "You-make-me-want-to-shoot-in-the-water-award."

I don't really like the tattoos, but I think you did a good job for her and she must be pleased. You-almost-look-like-an-angel award. Oh, I'll put a comment on some of your guys, photos, later. You'll get one.

I have some quibbles and maybe I should be put in a special species called the quibbler, however, that is hard shot to do, from the model's perspective and yours. A good pose and expression. Your angle is good, and your composition--you're really working here and you selected good settings, whether manual or aperture priority, however you did it. I think you made her look good, and I think its the kind of photo that will create interest in her from other photographers. I'll give you: "You-float-like-an-angel" because although I have some highlights and processing quibbles, it's good.
