Interesting article, especially the interviews. Although I have to admit I was taken aback a bit by the last sentence referencing illegal pirating of the software.

If the people interviewed at Adobe read that I'm sure they had a slight cardiac arrest.

"...and everyone in the world with a BitTorrent client or a student discount somehow needs Photoshop."

Hi Peano,

Thanks for the link!! Great article... photoshop first version must have been in BW!! Looking forward to see it in the future... If I can choose... come up with something to minimise D&B... lol

Thanks! Very interesting.
As PS is older than me it would be fun to try out first version. I think it would be more like Paint than PS tho. big_smile

I don't own Photoshop, I just use GIMP 2.8 -- free, opensource.

It shows

Isn't there a rule against thread jacking and program dropping like this?

Even though I've never actually used Photoshop, I found the article very interesting and enlightening.  I enjoy stories about tech history.

I found this an interesting statement:

"Camera RAW imaging algorithms, like Highlights and Shadows, for instance, have eclipsed those of Photoshop"
Surprised they don't share code more...

I enjoyed the article. Thanks for posting it. I am starting to experiment with using Photoshop and I use Lightroom.
