Can you explain to me the voting times on this contest? I have read the rules but I want to make sure I understand it correctly.

I've updated the rules to make it clear as to how it's been counted. When this contest was re-started there was a lot of discussion as to running it leniently in regard to the rules in order to get more competition and to allow time for everybody to participate.

If the rules were followed to the letter the last contest would only have been two votes that fell in the proper time frame.

And if the question is why my vote was so late and allowed, because from the early onset I said there would not be a tie of two or three when there were so few entries and I would break all ties.

Hope this answers your question or questions.

Perhaps if you would put those issues as rules, the next new person or one of the originals like myself coming back will not be confused. I was not there from your onset of you taking over the contest so I had no idea that you would be a tiebreaker or voting late as to be lenient. Thank you for clarifying.

As I noted above I have updated the rules above to allow voting till the start of the next contest. In the event of ties I am permitted to vote and will to break ties, unless there is some objection to me casting a vote.

Shot this in Coney Island , NY . Passed it through a few filters and retouched colors a bit . Not sure if this fits in the contest since there is no model in it , I didn't see it in the rules , but do let me know .

Bartonville's haunted Insane Asylum shot on location. Willy Adkins shot in studio. After some poking and prodding, I got the crazy face I wanted. Inserted him into the background shot of the asylum....cleared the day sky and added night time effect....added red fog and rain...gave certain areas of the shot some glow for symmetry....then hi-def'd the entire shot to give a really spooky feel...

CS6 was used for this photomanip. Used a stock photo I had taken on my trip to Oregon, and a few other photos used with permission. I did a lot of color blending and dodge and burning to bring out the model with against the colors. A light matte finish using the curves, and subtle soft painting and brush lighting used through-out. About a 4 hour process to reach a happy point. (As most of you know, 2 hours of that is spent getting the perfect cut)

On a side note. I'd be glad to help out with running the contest as well. Though my schedule is wonky, so I think Purple Princess would be great for the job.
