So I see the ad on craigslist (I know! Bear with me! ) : Plain and simple, nothing fancy. * $100 to $300 (Reynoldsburg) compensation: $100 $300 Need females for nude photo shoots and some lingerie modeling, all time and gas paid for * So I write my usual tralala, fine art, bla bla, pix attached (clean ones, and a mirror selfie of my mug, all PG13, etc. nothing smutty), view full port ( I warned that 18+ material, just so) at mm, yadda yadda. I get ONE sentence back: Hes married u whore. *blink*blink* Sigh. Maybe not have your CFB of a husband post crap on CL then, maybe?

Libelous accusations. Perhaps a reply objecting to the insinuation. Demand an apology. All you did was answer a legitimate help wanted ad and you got insults in return. maybe mention this case somehow -- "actions were a breach of the Human Rights Act, and awarded the plaintiff $25,000 for humiliation, loss of dignity and injury to feelings." http://www.nzherald.co.nz/nz/news/artic … d=11212075

I booked good gigs off Cl, time and time again. Of course one must be extra carful. One my friends has the addresses/phone numbers and start and finish time of all my stuffs. Gotta ask myself though what kind of man lives with a woman like that.. and vice versa...

I too have got some good paying legit gigs on CL. THEN there are the crazies. The latest one spent over two weeks discussing a paid shoot, scheduling, discussing details, etc. Then asks for dick pics.... and goes silent. Phone number he gave to text turns out to be a land line. The whole conversation was a series of lies ... just to try to see my junk. Some cray-cray time wasters out there.

With CL it depends on what sort of model you're looking for or, conversely, as a model what kind of gigs you're looking for. I don't shoot nudes all that much anymore and even then don't use CL to find models but I did do some work for a friend who put out a line of kids clothes. Put an ad in the talent section and within 2 days had 6 kid models lined up for the shoot. And all of them showed up on time (with parents in tow, of course) and ready to shoot. So it can be very good or horribly bad, depending on what you're looking for.

Sent me photos that were supposed to be her, as well as a number to reach her at (another fake #). Anyone with an internet connection is a couple clicks away from all the nekkid pics they could ever want. It sort of amazes me how far that little perv went to try to get a peek.

We had to take this 'test' for sociology of deviance class (and yes, I fall under most categories), one was 'how likely are you to get robbed', 'how likely are you to be victim of violent crime', etc.. I scored so high on one of them, it said "you should probably think about getting that will done as you are likely to be dead within the year".

He knows you are a real person, not just Joe Anonymous Dick Pix from the interwebs. The allure is to get YOU to SHOW HIM your stuff. Perhaps not personally, but you are a real person, whom he had contact with (via email, etc.). Predators are everywhere. sigh.

I totally fell for a cl ad looking for art models and like a good silly sucker sent a picture! OY! I'm so embarrassed over that and wont do it again! Jen p.s. luckily though due to MM I have met and shot with wonderful and kind art photographers from coast to coast, north to south and am grateful for the true network with actual accountability, (unlike the media would have folks think.)

I want to take that test. I regularly sleep on futons in strangers' homes. That's probably considered some sort of metal illness, considering how we're all supposed to be scared of each other these days.

It wouldn't even help to have the 'concealed weapons' license, as I'm never wearing enough stuff to conceal anything with it...

Yeah, you don't want to be like that woman who shot herself trying to conceal it inside her. I imagine it would be uncomfortable too.
